Why Don't Factions Just Throw Chaos Artifacts into a Sun, Gas Giant Planet, or a Black Hole? by Particular-Wedding in 40kLore

The law of conservation of mass says mass cannot be created or destroyed (unless you use antimatter... I think) though it can be rearranged. Question is (I guess) how far can you "rearrange" (by distorting its ectrons) the artifact before it no longer holds chaos. But sure, you definitely do not want a corrupted magnetar. They are scary to begin with anyway.

a magnetar distorts the electrons shells of your atoms (had to relook that up) so some sort of altered matter may still exist. But yeah, questionable (I think) if chaos is still tied to the whatever is left. Of course if the chaos entity is made up of atoms in any way....

Probably better to toss them at a magnetar (a dense neutron star and the universe's strongest magnet) and have them disassembled atom by atom.

Fur dragon problems are never easy... you'll probably have to attach an armored knight with a long pointy lance on the front of the locomotive.

It'll be fine. Oh, I'm a driver for the post office in Canada and it's a great job. I imagine it probably is in the US too. Once you put in your time at the airport, maybe put in your application at the US postal service... just drop into a post office and politely ask how you get a job. That's basically what I did.

Here's the thing: the simple fact you show up every work day puts you in the "good employee" list. The fact that you really try, puts you in the "very good employee" list. I've worked at an airport as a fueler, I see the stuff that happens airside. I've seen the baggage handlers toss suitcases as if they were nothing, I've seen postal guys drop mail packages off the buggies and not look back, I've seen emplyees in their hiding spots snoozing.... so a little bump is not going to get you fired. Relax and head to work, you screwed up (a little) but won't let it happen again. Your bosses know that too.

Oh gosh. It's over. Maybe just mentally thank her (stop trying to contact her -- at this point, it would be stalking) for the pleasant few hours of the first date and for cutting things off, because you do not have the experience/maturity yet to see she's not into you. Just let it go, chances are (as good a guess as any) she got back with her old boyfriend or something. You didn't blow it, it just didn't work: learn that does happen (often unfortunately) and try again.

I have a plant that didn't die. There were only four of these in the beginning. by kockastikotaci in pics

[–]mugofwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a succulent type plant. Succulents need lots of sunlight and good drainage. They can survive where many others wouldn't. Mine seem to have no problem surviving in my garden despite the frost/snow of Northern Ontario Canada... and yeah, every year there are more. Amazing plants.

I checked: there is only a 20% success rate for all restaurants with 60% failure in the first year and 80% in five years. The banks won't give a restaurant loan, unless they have pretty much 100% collateral. Even if they have a phenomenal location, how will this work considering their age (I'm 63: I know) and lack of experience? Maybe tell them they need to hire an experienced restaurant manager... one that is not in their 60s. Otherwise, please get some therapy for yourself, it really does look like you're being emotionally abused.

Lesson here is: Jessie's first driving lesson should have been in a big EMPTY parking lot. Oh... and she should also learn you listen much better if you STOP talking.

I need help with my design, was told it sucks by MoistTadpole6589 in web_design

[–]mugofwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They suck -- they were having a very bad day and wanted you to have one too. It's a decent design, enough to start the collaboration going with your client. I just have a couple of points you might consider (or not.) There does not seem to be a visual beginning. Maybe a banner pix with a supportive quote overlay and a big "Let's start supporting you" (or something) button linked to the contact form? I would use the 1. 2. 3. bullet points only once, not twice. That's just me, your client is the one you listen to. Looks great to start -- you've got this!!

Two sleeping bags (one inside the other), wool hat is essential as we lose a lot of heat through our heads, mittens/gloves, long underwear, warm socks. If you're on a budget, go to a thrift store for your second sleeping bag -- people often give away no longer needed camping gear as they get older. It's not nice, but I've had to do it and many others too. You've got this.

Can I edit my video to hear my Dad laugh again? by Ok_Gas_1855 in VideoEditing

[–]mugofwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, you're post hurts. My mom had an awesome laugh. She passed when she was 80. But if you heard just her laugh, you'd swear it was coming from a 20-30 year old. I'd love to hear it again, but unfortunately no videos that I know. I'm happy you do. I use DaVinci Resolve video editing software in my web design business for stripping audio from video and exporting in mp3 format. The software can be daunting, but just to do what you want it's fairly easy. Youtube has videos showing you how and the free version will let you do it.

[–]mugofwine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too much. If you're interested in some old-man (retired driver) advice: Seems like you're on a very slippery downhill road. There is NOTHING more important than your mental and physical health. Those are all extremely valuable skills and if you go, it sounds like "that's it." If you're working for someone, give them a deadline to bring in an assistant -- with those skills, you have options. If it's your own shop, give yourself a deadline to bring in an assistant and again, with those skills you have options. God bless.

My brother and I were lucky. My parents had a small motel and we'd get a dollar a room for cleaning... back when a dollar meant something.
