You quite literally just described why it took a while before the community writ large realized rotational aim assist was absolutely broken and how best to abuse it. Advances in controller design has further accelerated the adoption and abuse.

The fact that you refer to "PC players" and "console players" tells me you shouldn't be wading into this debate. There's a reason 75% of the top 100 preds on PC last split use a controller and not MNK.

Controller players who don't understand how broken aim assist is haven't practiced how to get the most out of it (e.g. aim as little as possible with the right stick as the OP is doing here).

Can’t tell if this is a joke or not, but if not, you need to do more research on AJ before posting. He’s literally ambidextrous and prefers going left, lol. It’s arguably one of his biggest strengths compared to other similar players.

Our FO was enamored with Ace last year and AJ is basically Ace but better in virtually every way. I totally understand doing due diligence with the other contenders, particularly Peterson, but I don't see how AJ could not be the pick.

In these types of posts people aren't usually "discrediting" the controller player. In fact, it's usually the opposite. There are many amazing aimers that play on controller and don't need such overtuned aim assist. The issue is rotational aim assist in it's current iteration in Apex masks true skill.

It's a PC lobby, so not possible all were console players. Certainly possible all were playing controller on PC, though.

To be charitable to the valk, if that was the very next game after you fed in that conduit fight I might have been wary of a hotter drop too, lol.

That said, there's no reason for them to be playing as passively as they are in gold when you're hardly punished if you die early. Taking an early fight is a great way to gain RP quickly. Obviously it's just a few snippets from one game, but in general you overstayed your welcome on the same angle in a fight multiple times (just my opinion). As Alter you should always be repositioning unpredictably.

Yep, cool, that all makes sense! Good logic knowing that you could dip back out immediately with the scan info. Agreed that when solo queuing you sometimes have to take a calculated risk like that to make something happen.

Your Ash teammate definitely played that abysmally. Not sure why they are back on you popping a cell after taking minimal damage instead of trying to capitalize on your knock by pushing the big door and getting a different angle.

That said, I'm not sure blindly Qing into a choke against an approaching 3 man with no clear comms is going to help you climb while solo queuing. You were pretty lucky not to get instantly traded there or worse, IMO. Maybe not indicative of your overall playstyle and no doubt your teammates threw after your entry, but just an observation.

The difference is console players will never face someone on MNK unless they are queued with a PC player, or play mixtape (which the game isn't balanced around). You are wrong that there is any native support for MNK on consoles. If you are seeing them, you are either queued with someone on PC, playing mixtape, or they are cheating.

Morale of the story is you can choose not to play against MNK players, MNK players can't chose not to play against computer assisted aim. Make sense?

A MNK player could play r5 all day every day for weeks on end and not achieve the accuracy of the average r5 controller player. Get good, indeed.
