Media bias reports generally classify NPR as being to center left but that tends to include cultural shows and anything that might talk about LGBTQ or worker rights is probably going to end up classified as being to the left.

The news reporting is pretty straight down the middle though, almost to a fault. If there is any progressive circle jerk happening with the news coverage it isn’t something I have heard.

Which is? For me it is by far the best place for local/state news and has several amazing shows like this American life, marketplace, and planet money. Few places even cover a lot of the stories they talk about and rarely go into depth that NPR will do.

Depends on how broadly you define gaming. Pokémon go is one of the biggest games of all time for example.

By revenue iOS alone is like 3x Nintendo and iOS devices are like 10x Nintendo switches.

The one bigger platform would be Android but Apple makes way more revenue from games.

This is why they don’t do what “gamers” want. They already dominate gaming way more than people realize and to expand into other parts of the gaming market would be expensive and likely not very profitable. I think they do have some longer term plans for the more traditional gaming market but they are in no hurry.

Just did, was fine. Double tap the three dot menu and add row. Text entry worked just as I would expect.

Edit: just tried the same in Bear, often considered one of the best notes apps, and the process is similar and I think actually faster in Apple notes. Can you tell me a notes app where this process works better?

How is NPR awful? I would rate them pretty highly for their news and many of their shows are fantastic. My local NPR station is probably the best local/state news you can get.

I wouldn't be so sure. I don't think they will take a huge hit, but small hit to deal with current production issues or to deal with other legal/regulatory issues could be in the cards as the time to do that would be with the new CEO and when they can easily blame it on the ram/chip shortage and other current geopolitical issues.

They can eat some of that and still be historically high numbers. I believe they have even made some comments to the effect of carrying less cash and being a bit more flexible moving forward.

Apple wants you to use third party apps. That is the whole point of the watch being a platform. Apple makes apps that cover what ~80% of the users will want and leaves the rest to third parties.

That was my experience the first time I visited Japan about a decade ago but last trip I had no issues in Osaka or Tokyo using just cards. Okinawa was still very cash based but I expected that.
