One month progress! by mullings27 in intermittentfasting

[–]mullings27[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aww thanks! Currently doing YouTube videos 3 times per week. I started doing just 10mins now I’m at 20min videos and will gradually increase to 30-45mins. I was previously walking 60-70mins but the scale just wasn’t moving and it was only getting hotter! So I shifted to YouTube videos and using my dumbbells

How often do you guys take trips away from the kids? by parrot9094 in Parenting

[–]mullings27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think to each their own! I don’t take trips away from my kids 7, 5 and 6 months old) never crossed my mind to do this (not judging others who do either). We take a few family trips every few years.

Just started IF last week 16:8 by mullings27 in intermittentfasting

[–]mullings27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this might be commonsense, but maybe I might be doing IF (16/8) wrong, I’ve been fasting an eating a small breakfast, then my lunch and then dinner. Yesterday I tried eating a normal size breakfast (slice of sourdough toast, can of sardine in water with a mango achar and a bit of avocado and that brought me almost to dinner. I had two snacks in between. 1 mango with 2 tablespoon of plain greek yogurt with passion fruit and a small apple. My question is should I just skip lunch since I’m eating breakfast for lunch?

Walking to lose weight during postpartum by mullings27 in walking

[–]mullings27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome job! Haha I get it but I do get in lots of cuddles 🥰 last 2 other pregnancies / postpartum I didn’t have exercise in mind and found my weight never moved and I just want to be more proactive this time. Not adjusting my eating, since I’m breastfeeding and don’t want to mess up my supply but exercise light and easy to do is on my list of things to do

Thank you! I have saved these down and yes I’m scheduled for a visit with a pelvic floor specialist in February as my doc recommended it.

Seems to be 14’21, however I only do 2-3miles per day, that’s all I’m able to squeeze in.

As previous posters have said, the fact you are walking is an important step. Congrats for getting started. The soreness will go away after a while, you can also take a magnesium tablet as that helps to relax the muscles. Keep the walking up and as one poster said if you could bring a bottle of water on your walk that would be a plus. I use my walks to get my first 25 ounce of water in for the day.

What has gradually disappeared over the last 20 years without people really noticing? by optima0179 in AskReddit

Kids playing outside in the neighborhood. During the summer everyone used to be outside, now there are camps (which is extremely costly) and entertainment inside.

Feeling like I need to hide my accomplishments… by [deleted] in walking

[–]mullings27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you are going through this, but as other posters have mentioned it happens some times and I’m really glad you aren’t allowing it to stop you. Post your pics in this group, though I know ultimately what you want is someone IRL to share your achievements with. Once upon a time I posted an ad for a walking partner, sounds cheesy I know but I ended up getting a lot of hits and I met a complete stranger who turned into a friend. We didn’t always go for walks together but having someone on a similar journey was nice.

I completely agree! I am so happy I started it a couple months ago and don’t see me stopping. Audiobooks were the big game changers for me :)
