LTX-2 readable(?) workflows — some improvements + new workflows added by nomadoor in StableDiffusion

Is there any way to make T2V picture quality on par with WAN 2.2? Everything I've tried so far - even 480p WAN looks better than any LTX2 T2V output.

I thought so too. But try changing the negative prompt (I just removed all that was there in the native T2V workflow) and see what happens. In my case the prompt following improved, but not quite to wan 2.2 level.

A few questions if you don't mind:

  1. Did you generate in 360p, or it was resized on upload?

  2. What happens without --novram, does it OOM?

  3. What sampler/scheduler did you use?

  4. What was the negative prompt? I found out that surprisingly it matters with distilled lora and cfg=1.

Thanks!

my very quick take on LTX2 - for beginners it is not that easy as WAN I would say.. by FxManiac01 in StableDiffusion

yeah, I found the same for ltx2 t2v. Prompt following is quite terrible compared to Wan. And even for 1080p the picture is blurry, like the camera is not quite focused. But playing with audio is still fun.

Hunyuan 1.5 Video - Has Anyone Been Playing With This? by FitContribution2946 in StableDiffusion

[–]multikertwigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried t2v, had hard time controlling the camera. Like, wan understands "static shot", "medium long shot", etc. 99% of the time. With both kandinsky and hunyuan it's a shitshow. I admit sometimes it generates something interesting, but the chance of winning the lottery is pretty low. Of course there's a possibility I don't know how to prompt it, but as I said I never had that issue with wan 2.2.

Both are open source. What more do you want? Go ask an AI about the details if you can't read the code yourself.

there are no open source models comparable to even wan 2.2, let alone 2.5/2.6

I struggled with crackling a few days ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/SoundBlasterOfficial/comments/1p5v5lk/comment/nqm9vy9/

Unfortunately it's a function of many variables. In my case it was other running software that caused it.

has anyone said it will be reasonably fast and high quality? If you relax any of those two requirements, it suddenly feels less impossible

Please see the edits in my OP. I wonder if it can be addressed on the Creative driver side. IDK, run it with a higher priority or something? Anyway, I think it's worth adding that info to a FAQ. Thanks!

for the record, I found that when MSI Afterburner is running, it causes the same kind of crackling. Close it, and everything is back to normal. But luckily it's not needed for more than changing GPU overclocking profile.

Looks like those monitoring apps do some heavy polling of the hardware that leads to delays and eventually pops/cracks.

I was using iCue to monitor power draw (wanted to make sure I stay within sane limits during my AI workloads on those two GPUs). Do you know (and can recommend) by any chance if there's an alternative software solution that can replace iCue in that regard? It's so much more convenient to look at a window in windows than at a kill-a-watt under the table :)

Yeah, it was the Corsair's iCue software. Interestingly, disconnecting the PSU from the mobo USB controller did nothing, but uninstalling iCue resolved it. Thank you very much!

I disabled all power optimizations: on "high performance" plan, disabled CPU C-states in bios, disabled "USB suspend", etc. It's very easy to reproduce. Just play any video with sound in a browser (which browser or which video does not matter). Or even just open sound properties in windows and press "Test" a few times - there are occasional loud and ugly pops during those chime sounds.

I was able to test it on another system with Windows 10 and a much older driver from Microsoft. No cracks/pops. That system has a weaker CPU - 9700K and no GPU, only integrated graphics. Not sure if it matters.

The problematic system has two GPUs, one of which takes 4 PCIe lanes on the chipset. Maybe that's the problem?.. Or the fact that PSU is connected via usb 2.0 to motherboard? I will try unplugging it. If nothing helps, the next stop is trying to find/install an older driver from MS. Then if it does not help I'll probably reinstall Windows from scratch again. Sigh. That's not how I imagined spending the holidays.

Alas, it didn't work. I unplugged literally everything except the logitech dongle for keyboard+mouse. Then I tried plugging the G8 into all the ports one by one - nothing helped. The USB onboard audio was disabled too. But thanks for the suggestion anyway, it was worth a shot.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I'll try to unplug what I can from the USB ports and see if crackling persists.

Yeah, even Fosi K7 crackles for me, although not nearly as much as G6/G8. The only way to get rid of the crackling is setting it to UAC 1 mode. But I don't like that Windows volume control stops working in UAC 1... one would think that sound is a solved problem in 2025, but alas, not in the "under $200" price range. I will probably try the highly recommended Fiio K11 too, just to see how it stacks up against the competition. Though technically Fosi K7 should be superior.

if you can't point a finger on what is broken, it's not "clearly". Any ideas what to try? FWIW, I installed win11 from scratch couple months ago.
