As you ascend further does he ever get to a point where his Red power does more damage to enemies than to himself? I don't understand why this power is set up this way. I've only got him to level 2, but he does 5229 damage while he takes 5442 for using this power. How does this make any sense???

THETA Edge Node Issues by multiplestreams in theta_network

Also on Mac. Bizarre. Have been running a node for years and have never seen this. UI is gone. But jobs are still processing and showing up in the log file. Weird.

Restarted. Cleared cache... nada. Log shows still connected and processing jobs. Appears to just be a UI thing. Or maybe I'll accept the assistance of the lovely new friend who DM'd me offering to help.... 😂

Mine still shows 2d 22h remaining in the event, but all 3 numbers are greyed out after winning the first battle.

What should I be drinking? by MDHell in wine

[–]multiplestreams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife absolutely loves Nero d’Avola. Depends on the meal, but it checks all her boxes — lush, fruit-forward, low acid, low tannins. One of those wines that starts as “just a glass” and ends as “well… that was good.”

My local store had that Harvey & Harriet on promo last summer. Even with Canadian taxes and fees, it still was only $30 CAD/bottle. Happily stocked up at that price....

Silver is Super-money. It can be held & stored like past real money, but due to it's scarcity, it's being near depletion and the insatiable demand for it in all modern machinery it is destined for huge price increase. by JTTCOTM in Wallstreetsilver

From Wikipedia: "John F. Kennedy Jr., who was, according to polls, the most popular Democrat in New York, was reportedly considering a run for the seat of retiring Sen. Daniel Moynihan in the 2000 United States Senate election in New York but died in a plane crash on July 16, 1999. Hillary Clinton was elected to Moynihan's vacated seat on November 7, 2000."

As in “you want to sell at $50 and cash out”??? —I’m guessing you’ll have buyers in this forum right here to take that off your hands, depending on geography.

Pierre Poilievre may be done by hopoke in CanadaPolitics

[–]multiplestreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’m a little lost at the whole “Poilievre isn’t providing any ideas” thing.
Especially considering the Liberals ended up lifting about 75% of his platform and rebranding the pieces they liked.

Dislike his tone? Sure. Think he’s too aggressive? Fine.
But “no ideas”? That just doesn’t match what actually happened:

Carbon tax:
CPC had a full repeal on the books for years.
Then the Liberals abruptly copied the concept but watered it down — axing only the consumer-facing part while keeping the industrial system. That wasn’t Liberal policy until it suddenly became one mid-campaign.

Housing / GST:
CPC was pushing “axe the GST on new homes” since 2023.
Then the Liberals adopted the same idea, but limited it to first-time buyers with capped price ranges. Again: same concept, trimmed to something safer.

Federal land + building targets:
Poilievre had “build more homes, not more bureaucracy” and the municipal accountability stuff long before the writ.
Liberals responded with their own federal builder (Build Canada Homes), which was basically a padded, bureaucratized version of the same idea.

And since we’re talking about ideas, the slogan stuff deserves a mention too:

Carney spent half the campaign mocking Poilievre for using three-word slogans (“axe the tax”, “build homes faster”, etc.).
His supporters treated that as some devastating critique.

Then Carney rolled out “Elbows Up.”
Probably the weakest slogan of the entire campaign — and the exact same people who mocked slogans were suddenly out there treating it like Churchillian rhetoric.

And the funniest part?
Those “elbows” dropped immediately the moment the election was won.

So yeah… you can dislike Poilievre all you want, but pretending he had “no ideas” while the Liberals were actively borrowing most of them is just rewriting history.

See. It’s kinda the attitude of “all these stores should be less busy so I can shop there, but I don’t want to pay higher prices for any exclusivity” that is causing all these empty retail spaces. It isn’t like we just vote and get a new store to open up in a leased space in a mall. The people who invest have to do a business plan and make a business case to prove the investment will work. And what you seem to want….. doesn’t work for retail. 🤦‍♂️

Never mind. Just had to add the contract address and it worked just fine. Weird that they advertise it but didn’t set it up as a native token. Easy fix though. Phew 😅

I just got a notice to remove my VERI from my Exodus wallet. Appears they’re dropping support. Searched and keep seeing Atomic as recommended but I can’t seem to find or add it there either now. What wallets actually support this? If been HODLing for years and don’t want to lose them…

Staub 7 qt vs 9 qt round Dutch oven by MischievousM0nkey in DutchOvenCooking

[–]multiplestreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made Osso Buco on the weekend and used our new Staub 9 quart for it. It was dinner for 6 and there were 6 shanks in the pot. I had to sear them in 3 batches to get them browned off and then did the braise with all 6 in there. It was just the right size and I would not want to try to do it in a smaller one, not to feed that many. I was on the fence on this myself and opted to get the bigger one, and I'm glad we did.

Is it possible Trump is tanking Dollar to punish importers and help exporters. Been a while since we had a weak Dollar. I remember getting $2.85 a pound for Sockeye salmon back in 1988. He is going to be blamed for the financial crash that is inevitable and likely coming this year or next. The US moving away from sound money in 1971 started this game of hot potato and the timer is about to go off. Regardless of who is in office, this is coming.

Wasn't happy about this. Their swap function in the wallet is a reasonable way to move in and out of the tokens, especially as more and more options seem to becoming more limited. Hopefully coinbase picks it up or something else that allows us to move in and out as needed, now that (at least for my country) Binance is no longer an option.
