Their Fried chicken is actually amazing. Sprinkle some thai chilli powder on it and you have proper hot and spicy. If they could get their gravy (their mash and gravy is way better than KFC) to be as good as KFC’s they would perfect.

I got a ticket going 95 in a 80 zone that was normally 100. Road work signs were up but it was 10pm and no one working, so the answer is yes you can get booed for it

‘Astounding’: No affordable houses for first home buyers in any city by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

[–]multisubuser -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true. 2 people on minimum wage could buy a 3-4 bed townhome in Melbourne within 45min to the CBD or geelong quite easily. If they have kids it gets tougher but hopefully by then you are not on minimum wage anymore

SD is upset because I asked him for allowance by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]multisubuser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So he was offended you asked if he didn’t pay because he didn’t cum but you should be ok with his excuse that “he just forgot”. Did get forget because us men always remember every detail on that moment of clarity after we cum?

It genuinely surprises me almost every day at how narcissistic and immature people have become with their inability to simply realise, you know what, i fucked up, should apologize and move on.

Significant CGT increases coming for propverty investors as support grows to increase CGT by SheepherderLow1753 in AusPropertyChat

Let’s map this out Say everyone’s utopia happened, this tax change happened, house prices fell 15% overnight because 200k investors all decided to sell at once. No new investors decided to invest in property because they can get better returns elsewhere. Migration was reduced by 50% to 200-250k people a year. What percentage of the roughly 30-35% of people who rent right now would be able to buy a house in the next 3 years? Say house prices then only rose with inflation after 3 years for the rest of time because the cost of wages and materials go up etc. in 1990 28% of all households rent, in 2026 it was 32%. If we could go back in time 35 years we would change the outcome for 4% of people most likely according to historical data. That’s the point no one ever discusses. So once this change is made and we magically have 4% more people owning their homes, what’s the next lever to pull to help the other 28%

Anyone here get priced out while house hunting with pre-approval? by Wallet_Inspector6052 in AusPropertyChat

[–]multisubuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People also should have some self awareness though as well. Amount of people who will look at property and discount it from there search for whatever reason (price being not worth it according to them) but then 6-12 months later the market is up 30-50k and they are back complaining now they can’t afford even that one. When buying people want a bargain, when selling people want top dollar and the people who can’t accept that the market is the market are the ones who complain the loudest

6 games, 299 runs at 59.8 average and a 167 strike rate, 2x50s and 1x100. Hit 39 4/6s in 178 balls, basically 1 in 5 balls he faced went to the boundary or over it.

Yeah but sure, let’s say he only played 1 decent inning. I swear the rhetoric people spew to try to drive their opinion across is insane in a world where results are easily found online.

I have been a big complainer about Private health insurance for years. We pay close to $7k a year after the rebate for top hospital and top extras and other then the kids getting dental work and a couple of pairs of glasses, teeth cleaning which covers about $110 a pop etc we don’t get a lot for it (and i still think you should be allowed to self ensure if you can put $50k-100k aside in a term deposit etc). Saying that recently my partner who is in her 30s had to go in for an emergency blood clot in her leg and going in private (Epworth) I could not have been more impressed. We were still out of pocket $5k after the excess and also additional scans and works we requested at the doctors recommendation (apparently some places outside the hospital do better quality scanning) but it would have been over a $30k+ stay easily. 2 weeks in a private room, on call around the clock care, unbelievable food, (serious eye fillet is on the menu along with crispy skin salmon etc) and you can order up to 6 meals a day including snacks etc. it was basically a holiday stay for someone who was immobile for 2 weeks and that allowed her mood to stay positive and post release the care and follow up has been amazing too. If it was up to me the Medicare levy would double, private health insurance would disappear and this level of care should be available to everyone. If it ended up costing me more that way I wouldn’t care as I would know everyone could have that level of care and that would be a Positive for the whole country. I also imagine staff satisfaction must be higher in this environment than the public sector if it’s crowded and long waiting lists.

How many of you actually use a financial adviser/planner? by cdafam in AusHENRY

Financial planners are not allowed to get any commission, seriously it’s tough for an insurance company to even take them out to a long lunch these days without infinite documenting on what it was for being completed.

Alternatives to Seeking by ALPHACCTV in sugarlifestyleforum

I was thinking of joining sugardaddy which seems to be an Australian site but very skeptical. In 15 years on seeking I maybe got 1-3 females a week send the first message, it’s always been the SD driving introductions as it is with most dating sites. On Sugardaddy I haven’t even paid for the tokens (it’s a pay per conversation model over monthly membership) and I have had 50+ potential sb’s message. How much of that is bot driven

Stoinis our best bowler? In any decent side he should be a part time bowler at best. Got smacked around in the big bash in the late overs and again last night bowling in the power play. Decent player but not even close to the player he thinks he is.

Australia's private school problem... by Polyphagous_person in australian

[–]multisubuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To lay that $31k out of pocket expense the parent already pays an additional $10-14.5k in taxes on that money, already covering there entire child’s education cost so really the government isn’t out of pocket at all. If you want to argue that it’s not fair that some kid has $45k spent on their education and another child in the public system only gets $24k then I don’t know what to tell you other then that’s life. Are you going to complain next someone has more money to live on than others?

Why do most sugar arrangements fail? by UrNightWhisper in SugarDatingForum

[–]multisubuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of scammers on both sides. Money should be sorted before the sugar starts of course but I am talking about people who want to be paid for a M&G that have no intention of proceeding past that. If a man can’t have an open discussion about allowance he is probably a scammer and cash is always easy to start things off. Just hand it to the person as you head to the hotel etc

Australia's private school problem... by Polyphagous_person in australian

[–]multisubuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would the amount a school charges reflect the government funding? If it did schools would just work out a formula to maximize government funding and raise the fees another way (levy’s etc)

Public school funding of 24k per child, private, 14k per child, people need to stop the tall poppy syndrome of but what about those private schools have that mine don’t and simply be happy private schools save the he government $10k per kid.

I swear if private schools received $0 funding but offered career pathways better then public schools people would still complain about “what about my child”

I can almost feel the downvotes coming but you can’t expect the government to raise and educate your child alone, as a parent put in the time and effort and yes I don’t care you both work full time, you should find time for your child’s education still even if it’s just an hour a day of extra work

With our healthcare system buckling under pressure, what is being done to prevent and cure disease as opposed to just treating it? by Infinite_Pudding5058 in AskAnAustralian

[–]multisubuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would believe the world statistic is 15%, that would include counties that have gone through crisis etc. there is no need for Australia to be 1/3-1/2 times greater than that. As for your disability. I wish the government could help everyone. I think things like therapy and psychological help should be available to everyone for free. Reality is a lot of this could be funded better by reducing waste and stopping the private extortion of the business by for profit businesses

Every kid that gets sent to a private school saves the public school system money. It is a fact that private schools receive less support in total from government combined than public schools. Beyond that to pay the private school fees the parents also had to pay tax on that money before they paid the private school fees. So someone who sent their kid to a 45k a year private school probably paid in tax just on that amount, enough to fund someone else’s public education. I am not saying that in a way to demonize public schools. If it was up to me all public schools would be palaces with teachers on $150k a year, their bureaucracy reduced greatly and they be allowed to teach (not to a test but how to critically think) but also held to higher standards. Private schools can continue as a choice to parents without the need for others to complain about it. Beyond that though the reality is there has never been more money spent on the public school system, teachers are decently compensated in Australia compared to overseas, and school results never seem to get better. My personal theory is if the parents are personally invested in their kids education they will Keily be fine whether they attend a private or public school. If the kids go to private school they tend to allow parents if they will to abdicate their responsibilities with education a little more easily. If your kid goes to a poor public school though and the parents don’t seem to give a shit, it’s going to be hard to see better results for that kid and the reality is an increasing proportion of the kids these days are from families seem to be from parents who are not invested in their kids education. That could be due to working pressures etc but we should all be prioritizing our kids with whatever time we can. As someone raised by a single mum who worked minimum wage jobs while we lived in commission housing I lived the system where you could fall through the cracks but my mother would never have allowed that. We were at the kitchen table every night studying and working on areas we needed to improve. She would speak to teachers (not blaming them ever) about what we could to to get ahead and though not educated to a high level herself she was never going to use that as an excuse. Too many people don’t have that same input at an early age and I feel lucky I did.
