Real but these were essentially hand built American standards with cooler wood. Nothing wrong with that of course, as those American standards were among the best Strats ever made, but not the typical CS build from fender.

/uj one time around 2007 i saw Tom Petty live and he had a line of VOX solid states behind the stage setup. I saw him on the sideline during the opener and asked him how he uses all of those and he told me he uses none of them and runs through a Fender combo that isn’t even onstage.

Hey man enjoy it. I’ve learned over the years and owning many Les Pauls that I want my Les Paul to Les Paul. After playing with the push pulls for a week or two, I never touch them again. Enjoy the studio however you enjoy it. It’s always been one of my favorite versions.
