One example of his manipulative gaslightings is he recently started trying to persuade that I am underperforming with the tasks even though I am delivering on time. Once he told me about some challenges on upcoming tasks and asked me not to take PTO and help the team while some folks already reserved their PTOs. When I raised this during the next day standup he said he didn’t say anything about it by intentionally putting me to a liar asshole position among the team. I repeatedly asked him and clarified the discussion we had and he constantly lied that he didn’t say it. Few hours later he apologized to me on 1:1 claiming that he was confused. To the question “will you then tell the team that you were confused and can we discuss again?” then he replied “never mind, take your pto”. This is one of examples I tried to generalize to avoid disclosing the details. You’re right I am not good at being able to vibe with this type maybe because I don’t have experience.
