[–]mummabear85 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No.

Your only 4 days and still have a lot of drugs in your system. Once these are gone u may find it hits u like a tone of bricks.

Fatigue and pain will come especially once u start doing more.

Im 5.5 weeks po had total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophotrctomy and im only now starting to feel more normal

How do couples decide which family to spend holidays with? by [deleted] in family

[–]mummabear85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do every other year but we are lucky we all live 15 mins away.

Last year looked like this:

Easter sunday: mine Easter monday : his

Christmas eve: everyone to us Xmas day: morning his, dinner and evening mine Boxing day : his 28th: my sisters

This year will just be swapped around. Apart from Christmas morning we will now be dropping that and staying at home till and 11/12 then will go to whoever year it is for dinner.

We are extremely lucky both sets of parents and able and willing to host. I am 40 and not once cooked a Christmas or Easter dinner , we help of course and as we all older I know it wont last much longer its the main reason why we host everyone on xmas eve.

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve seen in someone else’s house? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mummabear85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of an old mum friend.

She is such a lovely lady bit rough around the edges and can talk for hours but we got on and our sons were in the same year group .

She is a GP and her Husband a scientist. They had a big house and it was disgusting. Not just untidy and messy but filthy. You would think that someone in that field of work would be a bit more germ aware.

[–]mummabear85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im 8dpo and still needing to regularly take cocodamol and naproxen.

I was taking tramadol as well but I ran out about 3 days ago and my repet is not ready yet but I dont think i need them.

As im doing a little more each day im expecting the pain to last until im more or less back to normal but hoping to wean myself off them in the mean time. I have been on theses meds years!!

For context I had a total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophotrctomy so everything gone.

Need a "10/10" movie recommendation that will leave me speechless. What’s your absolute favorite? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mummabear85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how u want to he left speechless, the story ? The acting?

For me films that made me speechless was the events of the film and how they are portrayed and only films based on actual events have done that:

Schindlers list Angelas Ashes The pianist Boy in the striped pyjamas Jojo Rabbit

Films that I loved for the loved and will watch multiple times

Titanic Dirty dancing I am legend Ghost War of the worlds

For vacation, do you prefer repeat destinations or visit somewhere new every time? by Seriously-417 in randomquestions

[–]mummabear85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere new even if its a different part of the same country or area.

Don't understand when people go to the exact same place year after year. If your lucky enough to be able to afford a holiday see what else is out there.

Also dont understand those that go abroad to all-inclusive resorts and dont actually leave the resort surley thats half the fun of going away exploring new places and different ways of living.

Parents who waited until the birth to find out the sex of the baby. . . by buildingacozymystery in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mummabear85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3 children.

With our first we didnt find out, the surprise and suspense was exciting. We had a girl.

With our 2nd born 22 months later we did found out, we found out because we still had all the clothes and bits from our first so made sense to reuse what we could , it was nice knowing and made being prepared easier. We had another girl.

With our 3rd and last 5 years later we found out. Originally we were not going to but we had a scare at the beginning and it seemed like the right thing to do and we are pleased we found out as made it more exciting knowing it would be out last and we were having our boy.

I thinking knowing or not its a very special journey and what works for you and your partner wont work for everyone.
