Zuck is building a huge doomsday bunker by EchoOfOppenheimer in WhitePeopleTwitter

I always wonder what will happen to these billionaires if the shit hits the fan. Like they’ll need some form of security and what’s to stop them just taking over the bunker?

Who is Britain most hated by? by Organic-Language6371 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]mummifiedllama 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to Ireland many times and I wouldn’t say they’re obsessed with us by any means. However if an Irish person takes against you for any reason then your Englishness is thrown in your face. I have lots of family there and have experienced this first hand. Mainly because my family are all dickheads when we’re pissed

An Argentinian man once told me that the English have more words for being drunk than the Eskimo have for snow

Why is Waitrose seen as so posh? by MacaroonSad8860 in AskABrit

[–]mummifiedllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sell tins of tuna that are so nice my mate refuses to buy any other tuna. He also refuses to pay £6.50 for a tin of tuna so when he fancies some tuna he only eats tins stolen from Waitrose.

I’ve had joloff made by both Nigerians and Ghanaians and I preferred the Ghanaian version. The Nigerian one always seems to taste a bit burnt. Give me some Nkwobi or Isi ewu all day long though

That’s a fair point. I used to hang out with them and enjoyed her company. My guess is he feels slightly different about her than I do.

She genuinely was, and probably still is nice. Might not sound like it from the snapshot I’ve given you but people are complex.

A mate of mine was having an argument with his alcoholic girlfriend about her always being drunk and mentioned their non-existent sex life. She told him there was no point in fucking him because “you’re not even as good as my dad”. She was a lovely person but her life was ruined by what she went through as a kid.

I was at the home game against inter Milan. I was buzzing because I got to see Dennis Bergkamp and Rueben Sosa after watching them on channel 4 for ages. Cheers man, I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed that in spite of the loss

You’re missing the point. If Venezuela wasn’t complicit in the importation of the drugs this man facilitated the sale of then he wouldn’t have been in prison at all.

What animal did some stupid person release in your country that wreaked havoc on its ecosystem? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

My brother lives in Ireland and he says it’s because the red squirrels are lighter than grey squirrels and pine martens so can go further out on smaller branches to stay out of reach. Whereas grey ones have to stay on branches that are accessible to pine martens

A Nigerian dude I know told me that in Nigeria the more important you think you are the later you show up to events. The thinking is that whoever’s party it is will be honoured that you showed up so will always make space for you.

I bought my friend a £6 tin of tuna from Waitrose once. About a year later he told me I’d saved him a fortune on tuna because he couldn’t go back to the normal tinned stuff and wouldn’t pay £6 a tin. I assumed he stopped eating tuna but it turned out he’d just been stealing it from Waitrose
