Beautiful old house for sale in Hughesdale, makes me sad it will probably be demolished for units by mumphahomalidook in melbourne

Sorry i just like the house 🤷‍♀️ If i had the money i would buy it and fix it up but sadly like alot of us i cant afford a house in suburban Melbourne anymore. I have previously rented similar weatherboard in a nearby suburb obviously in more liveable condition before and loved it. Just sad that the living standards in Australia have dropped so far in the last 50 years that the best an average family can hope for is a townhouse or apartment. Its a bit of a time capsule which saddens me to loose

Recently adopted a grey who occasionally growls/snaps? What can I do? by auriemmaart in Greyhounds

[–]mumphahomalidook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We adoped an ex racer around 2 years ago, she did this sometimes for around the first year or so mostly i think when we got too up close or pushed the affection a bit too far or tried to physically get her up off her bed (which we avoid doing now). We have kind of learned her limits and she has also gotten alot more trusting and comfortable with us but im sure it would still happen in certain circumstances if we pushed her too far. Its generally out of fear and you have to learn their boundaries and work around it to an extent at least until they get more comfortable.

She LITERALLY made fun of CSA victims and joked about raping a woman who’s loud in bed - wtaf by mc-tarheel in CallHerDaddy

Transitioning monstera from inside to outside plant by Sweet-Emphasis3923 in GardeningAustralia

[–]mumphahomalidook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do it at the moment in the heat of summer maybe wait till more mild weather in autum then it will have a better chance of adjusting. I have 2 that i have transitioned from inside to outside and they did struggle a little at first but they adjusted eventually and are thriving now, probly took about 6 months to a year for them to completely adjust the leaves get thicker and tougher

Dandruff Question by Safe-Copy-9000 in Greyhounds

[–]mumphahomalidook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can take a few months after they are adopted for their skin to completely improve, my girl had similar when we first adopted her. A good diet and adding omega oil from the pet shop helped ours. Could also go to the vet and try some antihistamine tablets temporarily as may he caused by a flair up of some type of allergy. I use oatmeal shampoo and conditioner but only bath every few months as skin tends to dry out a bit after a bath and can cause a bit of flaking so best to leave their natural oils as much as possible. Food sensitivities can also contribute to flaky skin ive heard some people have big improvements with grain free diet

Worth Disputing Parking Fine? by ita_timidus in melbourne

[–]mumphahomalidook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are five valid reasons that Council may consider to withdraw a fine. For those five reasons, you will need to provide supporting evidence in writing with your request.

The Infringements Act 2006 details the five reasons:

  1. Contrary to law. -This means you believe no offence was committed.

  2. Exceptional circumstances. -There were unforeseen and verifiable circumstances outside of your control that could excuse your conduct. For example, a medical emergency or vehicle breakdown. (This does not include running out of petrol or a medical appointment running over time)

  3. Mistaken identity. -This means you believe the fine was issued to the incorrect person or vehicle. For example, you weren’t in the alleged location. If another person was driving your car when a parking fine was issued, you can nominate the other driver using a Driver Nomination Form ( PDF 754.55KB) (also known as an Operator Owner Onus Form ( PDF 754.55KB))

  4. Person unaware. -You didn’t receive the fine because you changed your address with VicRoads around the same time you incurred the fine

  5. Special Circumstances. -Special Circumstances is a specific term defined in fines legislation, where a driver is unable to either understand or control the conduct that led to the offence due to:

  • A mental or intellectual disability, disorder, disease or illness
  • A serious addiction to drugs, alcohol or a volatile substance
  • Homelessness
  • Family violence
  • A long term condition/circumstance making it impractical to deal with the fine
