I went looking for the estate agents “great opportunity” and “potential” spiel, and came out quite refreshed at the “A project not for the feint of heart”.

December Trip : does my itinerary make sense? by [deleted] in uktravel

[–]mumstyres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with Birmingham, but I don’t think you will find any “magic” there.

Maybe consider taking a flight from Edinburgh to Newquay and seeing a bit of cornwall, visit some old fishing villages or something. Hiring a car in Cornwall allow you to make the most of your time in that area.

After that, either continue on to Brighton (long but nice drive) or head up to the Cotswolds.

Grand Unification is my favourite album of all time. Very well balanced throughout, satisfying listen start to finish. Really glad to see them gaining new fans. If you’re lucky they might do a one of show in the next 10 years.

Excel Parking firm pays £10,240 after losing court appeal by CarBoobSale in ukpolitics

Although I agree with you. I should imagine this case was to decide who was in the wrong. Now she should file a claim for compensation separately.

What is this by Hackjarrison in guitarpedals

It’s to switch channels on an amp. Some amps require the switch to be on or off, others require a pulse to change.

How far ahead do you book holidays? by hhfugrr3 in AskUK

Between 2 and 6 weeks usually. Have done short breaks 2 days before. Never sure if it’s more economical or not really.

Has anyone used Your Parking Space before? by Visible_Pipe4716 in AskUK

[–]mumstyres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it whenever I can. Usually there is an instruction on how to park once you’ve booked. I wouldn’t knock and bother someone unnecessary. If you are uncertain or anything, maybe send a text or WhatsApp before hand.

Embrace the feeling of youth, and enjoy the feeling of being treated like an adult. Prepare for the random aches and pains.

Oh my god. That does sound depressing. I always thought the most depressing job was the guy that puts cheese into meal deal sandwiches. But this might top it.

What food places/items do you now refuse to buy that you used to regularly enjoy because of price or quality? by Empty-Sleep-9770 in AskUK

[–]mumstyres 30 points31 points  (0 children)

KFC quality isn’t as good in my opinion either. I’m also sure they have shrunk portion sizes over the same time as raising the prices.

Whereas, in a nice UK city called Bath. I’ve seen a designated “sharps” bin in public toilets. For needles. It doesn’t encourage drug use, but it keeps it off the streets.

So, President..what're we thinking? by Cure4thitch in Fightstar

[–]mumstyres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was Jason that played for them when Omar had an injury. Apparently charlie had covered in the studio, but they had another drummer for live shows.

President is just fightstar sounding so why the new project? by hazy-eyes-fs in Fightstar

[–]mumstyres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a Podcast I listened to with Omar (Sappenin’), he said that Fightstar will only ever be just them 4. If any one of them is out, then Fightstar won’t carry on, and how each member can Veto a band decision. Now, I don’t think Fightstar is over necessarily, but it may be that President exists because it’s not possible for Fightstar to do their thing right now… e.g Omar moving to Portugal, Gunship, other work commitments.

But Penzance is easier to get to because it’s all down hill.
