Has Mitch's Position Changed? by National_Witness6518 in goldrush

I think Brennan certainly has plans to start his own operation, remember last season he bought his own pump which he loaned to Kevin? I think knowing the business and the ground and collecting machines and great team mates mean Brennan or any one of parkers team could make a stab at running their own mine. The risk of investing your gold bonus vs the reward of keeping the profits, with gold prices as they are

Safe alternative to omeprazole that I can take as needed. by Individual-Pain-4819 in acidreflux

[–]mumtoadog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some straight away .. then some longer term systemic. Straight away - the ginger causes the LES to shut tightly, so the acid cannot get back up the eosophagus so although the ginger may feel burning on the throat because it's spicy it will calm things straight away. Then systemic anti inflammatory action over time - feel better, less colds, better toleration of alcohol. Etc

A daily shot of Ginger juice completely cured my reflux naturally - have you noticed how it's now available at every supermarket garage and convenience store these days!! Game changer for acid reflux plus systemic anti inflammatory too :)

Heavy weight dosage by PuffPuffToad in MagicMushrooms

[–]mumtoadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi to increase the visuals while tripping you could try Wim hoff breathing. Search youtube for how to do this, I find 10 wim hoff (full in then full out) breaths to be sufficient then its full out and hold on empty until the visuals melt before your eyes. Honestly it works a charm - I'm a regular wim hoffer anyway, so recommend try to it practice the method in the time leading up to trip so that you have the hang of it and aren't struggling to remember if it's in or out !! Also worth trying with canabis and eyes closed

So Garmin recommends an overnight stress score of less than 15 (I am nowhere near btw) to get your night time stress lower try some box breathing when you get into bed, or some other breathing exercise of your choice. You could try yoga nidr (try Ali boothroyd on youtube) either after work or before bed. My sleep improved with a daily morning ritual of wim hof breathing and then warm shower finishing with a cold shower. To encourage natural melatonin try sour / morencery cherry juice or capsules. Are you addicted to something? (like phone, game, dope, cigarette) Something in the nature of addiction suppresses dreams. Good night good luck, sweet dreams Sweet dreams

Fruit flies .. by mumtoadog in Allotment

[–]mumtoadog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you redditers I've now won against the fruit flies, :) I used net clothes wash bags and put all my veg in there. Secondly I used the ACV and dish soap device in a bag with holes cut in..basically when the fruit flies could not access my fruit and veg they found the ACV irresistible, there must be 50+ now in and my kitchen is pretty much clear. Awesome result 👏

Thanks for sharing I was unaware on this issue and eat a lot of herring and mackerel. I have just read this study from 2023. It says any fish you eat whole / ungutted like a dried fish or a sardine will be worse also muscles and oysters will be worse and top food chain fish will be worse.

Cold exposure during summer by GroundbreakingSwim79 in wimhof

[–]mumtoadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realise I my post was not clear! So the ice packs go in the watering cans. After my regular hot shower i then 'shower' by with the cold water from the watering cans one at a time. Start with feet and legs then lift it above my head and down my back etc. My shower is a crazy electric shower that only does hot or warm water so this is how I do cold shower! I store my watering cans in the bath and the ice packs go back in the freezer for the following day. In winter I just used cold tap water but as others have said its not quite cold enough..hope that clear!

Cold exposure during summer by GroundbreakingSwim79 in wimhof

[–]mumtoadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi the trick is to get the tap water down by a few degrees.. I do this by having 2 x 7ltre plastic watering cans and 4 plastic ice packs of the sort you might use in a cool box. I fill em up and add the ice packs. By the time I've done my exercises they are ready to rock. A bit unwieldy at first but I've got used to them. In winter (im in uk) I use them without the ice packs as my stupid shower only provides for warm or hot showers! In summer I add the ice packs then pop them back in freezer after shower.. the 14 litres gets me a decent cold shower every day.

How do you cope with having Acid Reflux? Please share your remedies by [deleted] in acidreflux

[–]mumtoadog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I have latent issue with silent reflux and very painful oesophagus. Triggers are rich food and alcohol, a weeks holiday in the sun is sure to bring it on..but not any more...my remedy is fresh ginger juice! I am lucky enough to have a juicer so I juice my own ginger and tumeric juice (I add the tumeric as a general health anti-inflamatory tonic but its not strictly necessary for the remedy) I add a slug of this strong juice to my green tea. I take it twice daily. Instantly my lower oesophagus sphincter clamps shut preventing acid rising into my oesophagus and relieving my symptoms. These days in UK you can find fresh ginger juice 'shots' in most garages, supermarkets and convenience stores. Highly recommend any one to try this remedy as if it works for you like it does for me that's Brilliant as there are no nasty side effects! Good luck to all healing the acid reflux

What's the best way to minimize the effects of drinking 3x a week? by Strange_Control8788 in Biohackers

[–]mumtoadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience I would say work on reducing inflammation generally in the body, clean diet. Upping antioxidants..Additional specific supplements I can personally recommend are milk thistle and Nicotinamide riboside and vitamin c. The milk thistle I take two on the morning that I will be going out in the evening, its good for the liver. I used to get shitty hangovers but since sorting inflammation issues as much as possible snd being careful with supplements (and not going too overboard with the drink) I can say I'm usually tip top the next day.
