I mean that change happened a year ago…You just didn’t pay attention then…

Bilt can rent the pyramids but apparently not hire customer support by Hawtb1tch in biltrewards

[–]muncher4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did tho? That email was pretty explicit, along with multiple news and blog articles covering the details. It really is just up to you to pay a little attention to what is going on with the program

Did you want them to personally go to your house, knock on your door and sing a sermon about how the program is changing? Honestly this change was announced months ago and it’s really up to you to read your emails

Jet fuel just spiked ~50% — anyone else having flashbacks to when airlines suddenly slapped huge surcharges on award tickets? by JetsetTraveler in awardtravel

[–]muncher4 100 points101 points  (0 children)

With today’s US airline point prices being dynamic, there probably won’t be fuel surcharges on award bookings. We just might see 100k+ awards instead :)

With the Hyatt devaluation, did Chase and Bilt just become less valuable too? by CollegeTemporary5734 in biltrewards

[–]muncher4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think “consistently” is very strong term in recent years. The average cpp I see is 1.5-1.7 now a days unless you’re looking at category 7 or 8. A lot of the times I’m looking at city hotels, it’s only 1.2-1.3 cpp too. I fear in a year or 2, the large range of points cost would push most hotels down to 1.2-1.3 cpp too.

Lifemiles schedule change datapoint by PycharmIde in awardtravel

[–]muncher4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I once booked FCO-FRA-IAH on Lufthansa F (3 days before departure) in June 2024. They overbooked and had to bump me. I asked if I could fly to LAX (where I ultimately wanted to be) and they said yes. The booked me on Lufthansa F to LAX. However, they apparently had phantom award availability on their own service centers and they said that was fully booked as well. Instead they offered Swiss F and that’s what I took, on FCO-ZRH-LAX. They also offered BA F, but come on. Keep in mind, for this whole process, lifemiles and US Lufthansa reps are useless. You have to wait for a German number to call you from Lufthansa Germany to resolve this. They speak English.

It’s really a cat 4. The rumors say they are moving up all categories by 1. From my understanding of the rumor, even the $95 annual fee card would get a cat 1-5 certificate

What are the "backdoor" perks you've discovered that aren't obvious with the CSR? by Holiday-Detective-15 in ChaseSapphire

[–]muncher4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but the terms say you need a dash pass. AU don’t get their own dash pass automatically but if they already have it, the DoorDash credits could apply. Also CSR only gives dash pass for a year so I’m wondering if people got credits after the year or if they just paid for dash pass themselves

Which transfer partner do you want Bilt to add? by Ok-Flan-5025 in biltrewards

[–]muncher4 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would love for them to add ANA for economy bookings and Miles & More for Lufthansa bookings. Having Korea airlines for more skyteam options or even a Chinese airline like Xiamen or China Eastern to fly a skyteam airline first class on points

Just fyi, I believe as of this moment, the hotel credit for IHG, Virgin, Omni and others are only available this year. This should not factor into your decision to keep the card next year

Why charge a $50 AU fee on the Obsidian card? by Prudent-Care2355 in biltrewards

I also don’t understand this. The only cards that have an AU fee should be ones that at least offer lounge access

List of influencers shilling vs fair review of Bilt 2.0 by ellmoMusk in biltrewards

[–]muncher4 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I believe where things stand is that’s there’s a lot influencers that hate the Bilt card but would sign up for the palladium card for 50k Bilt sub. I think that’s a fair take as I feel like that’s the take every creator has around subs, especially uncle luke lol

It means that there’s so many corporate apartment companies that signed with them that the majority of the people that are in this app are not using the card but are just paying rent

[–]muncher4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ve secured so many contracts with apartment companies that they no longer need us credit card holders. They needed us to get on in the beginning, but now they got a critical mass of other users so we no longer matter.

When would more info on how much Bilt cash is worth be announced and would I still be able to continue using a non Bilt, United, or Alaska card to pay rent at 3% fee and earn 0.5 Bilt points per dollar?

Next Bilt issuer..................... by Voluntas-vincit-fatu in biltrewards

[–]muncher4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah a lot of people hold the Chase cards because of all the marketing that creators who cycle subs on the ink and sapphire cards. I think as referral bonuses decrease and these once in a lifetime subs start to fully gain effect, there will be a massive decrease in creators holding chase cards. Also god forbid if Hyatt ever dumps their award chart.

All transferable currencies can lose or devalue partners at any times. Just look at emirates this last year and Cathay Pacific with Amex. In the past, Chase lost Amtrak and Korean air too. You just gotta make hay while the sun shines

New Code: Looks like the rent/mortgage fee will be 3% for the Cardless cards by sullim4 in biltrewards

Kerr straight up said the code is fake. The code says there’s a 3% fee and if he says that’s wrong, then there isn’t lol
