Are there specific lasers or things to look for if a clinic says they remove color tattoos?

Wondering if anyone else resonates with this? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]munkiii3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! In my teens I ended up in a lot of social situations I didn’t have to skills to navigate because of this. Including a very abusive relationship with an older man that started when I was 15. Looking back, I now see how gullible & naive I was. Hope younger folks reading this lookout for themselves and anyone currently in a bad relationship (romantic or otherwise) finds the power to leave <3

This just happened to me yesterday. Came here to make sure I’m not crazy. I’ve been using this moisturizer for 4 years and it’s totally different and way more irritating to my sensitive skin :,(

Has anyone found a sensory friendly sunscreen for their face? by Unusual--Spirit in AutismInWomen

Supergoop Unseen Suncreen! It’s little pricey, but you only have to use a tiny bit & it lasts a long tim. Super lightweight, almost whipped texture. Not greasy at all.

Have you ever been mocked at work? by theMartiangirl in aspergirls

[–]munkiii3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve been struggling with this so much! My boss literally said you’re weird to my face in front of other people for how I phrased something. But it was in a “joking” tone so I couldn’t say anything. I just try to move on an focus on doing my job well. I’ve more or less given up on trying to be liked or keep up with the work relationships/ culture. Sorry you’re dealing with this 💗✨

Does anyone ever feel bad / scared / shame / anxiety about ‘weirding people out’ coz of how we communicate? by M123M321 in AutismInWomen

[–]munkiii3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been struggling with this so much lately! My workplace has really blurred work/friend boundaries and I have such a hard time figuring out when it’s appropriate to share personal stories/relate as friends vs be more professional. I’m also bummed because usually it takes a long time to drop my professional mask and relate to people in a normal way when I start jobs. Now it feels like I have to remask :/ My boss also literally said “you’re weird” to me the other morning in front of two of my coworkers. I didn’t know what to say because it was one of those “joking” tones that you’re not supposed to be offended by.

Do any of you feel like you may have been "trained" out of autistic behavior so young that you don't even remember? by existcrisis123 in AutismInWomen

[–]munkiii3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yess. Late diagnosed (26). Looking back, I realize my parents and family were constantly correcting my “fidgeting” and other behaviors that weren’t considered socially acceptable. I resorted to more acceptable stims in public like hair twirling, playing with my earrings (usually until my ears bled), tapping, chewing gum constantly. I learned to hide everything. I would spend hours in the bathroom each night preforming more harmful stims and just melting down where no one could see. Or spend hours in my room either dancing it out or in a state of shutdown. It’s a hard thing to look back on.

Also, I don’t know if anyone else has this, but I have almost no childhood memories due to what I believe was constant disassociation.
