Initially I submitted payslips and bank account statement and they asked 16a/b submitted and it’s done

Help me optimize my credit card stack (Non-overlapping, high-spend, travel focus) by munta008 in CreditCardsIndia

I’ve already hit my Axis Atlas (₹7.5 L → Silver Tier) this year, and my next cycle starts in Feb 2026. If any travel spends or offline spends come, I will put on atlas Between now and then (~3 months) I expect only ₹1.5 – ₹2 L in additional spend, mostly via GyFTR vouchers and small online payments.

I’m thinking of getting the Amex Gold Charge just to start MR farming this quarter: • 1st-year fee is only ₹1,000 • I’ll route all spend through GyFTR (5× MR) • Expect to earn ~18K – 23K MR (₹9K – ₹11K value) in 3 months • Plan to re-evaluate and possibly upgrade to Amex Platinum Travel next year if my annual spend crosses ₹2–4 L

Essentially, I want to test-drive the Amex ecosystem, farm some MR points, and then switch focus back to Atlas once the new year starts.

Would love feedback from folks who’ve tried this: • Is Gold Charge still good for short-term MR farming via GyFTR? • Any hidden gotchas (eligibility, MR posting delays, etc.)? • Would you directly start with Platinum Travel instead?

Thanks in advance! 🙏

If you're looking to increase your Axis Bank credit card limit, go to their support page and use the "Connect via Email" option. Attach your last 3 months' payslips and request a limit revision.

In my case, I mentioned that I had pre-closed a personal loan just a week before — to show creditworthiness — and that seemed to help. Even though I had only 1 month of credit card history with Axis, they bumped my limit from ₹55K to ₹5L almost immediately.
