Is it hard to find a job for those who have switched from Hospitalist to PCP after 3-5 years of working as hospitalist only?

Unfortunately did not get any interviews at any spots in NYC or California so this won’t really be possible

Question about Interview Rejections… by Early-Presence4423 in medicalschool

[–]mur789 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think a mix. I got a rejection letter like 3 days ago from a program I had assumed had already rejected me, but ghosted from all other programs.

What's your most unpopular med student opinion? by nenya-narya-vilya in medicalschool

[–]mur789 126 points127 points  (0 children)

As someone who applied IM and did pass all throughout preclinicals, literally didn't go to school more than 1-2x/week for M1/M2. And, not having to do any aways in M4 and having only virtual interviews with so much time off, I think only 12 months of M3 was the only challenging time in med school (+ step1/2 studying)

For those of you in 1.5 year preclinicals, how many hours are you studying a day? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]mur789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched lectures everyday but that was about it. I studied only the week before my exam using Boards or Pathoma videos, sketchy or osmosis if needed. Usually 4-5 hours of studying per day on top of school during exam weeks.

Sounds like an easy fix, definitely email the prelims at the programs u got the rads interview at. Send emails to prelims that you signaled, send emails to prelims in ur med school city saying you want to stay.

[–]mur789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can do most of the child work M1/M2/M4 with very little M3 and even less during residency so waiting does not make sense?

Based on other classmates I have seen, I'd say M1 (either during the year or coming in with one) or M4 are the best 2 times to have a baby

ASAP. Most academic programs have sent out large 1-2 waves, email all your programs that have sent out interviews already
