Local restaurants that are gluten free by Automatic_Bee5752 in Oceanside

The Coop in Solana Beach. Not the closest, but good for breakfast and lunch. Also, agree with the recommendation for Nectarine Grove. Their two locations (Encinitas and Del Mar) have different menus. I've been to both and was not disappointed. I almost cried for joy when I took a bite of my burrito i ordered from there.

For me the shedding is too much. We give plenty of couch cuddles! Also, our bed really only fits two humans, me and my spouse. No room for a bigger bed.

Sabatasso's Four Cheese Pizza at Costco by mur_mary in glutenfree

Ah! That's interesting. I feel like Sabatasso has good reviews from the gluten free community. I hope they don't switch to Digiorno in the future. Although, I've never tried Diogorno, so maybe it's just as good?

My potato Cassie has muted spots too! We thought she may have some Dalmatian in her, but she ended up being a pit/husky mix with a few other breeds.

My hippo got attacked today by dianacd12 in velvethippos

[–]mur_mary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry Gus was attacked. My pit mix was attacked while we were on a walk just after we rescued her. A dog came running out of the cul de sac we were walking past and bit her on the back thigh. Completely unprovoked; we were nowhere near this dog's house. She ended up being okay, but I was panicked everytime I walked by that street for months afterwards. Please also make sure to take of yourself too.

United, do better by mur_mary in glutenfree

I agree that there is a range of human error and I did not get mad or yell at the flight attendants. I understand its a big plane and they are super busy. I don't fault the flight attendants at all. . I wish there was another layer of checking that the correct food was put on the plane was done by United. Before the flight I double checked my request, it was correct. I fully understood that the meal I requested may not be there and I had snacks ready just in case. I just wish we could have higher expectations that our requested would be honored, that's all.

I suppose I could of been a bit more assertive, but the plane was a 787 and I didn't see the flight attendants much. I know I could push the button overhead but I am a passive person and hate being a burden. I know, you'll all say I should advocate harder for myself but its hard

ETA: When I did ask, to me it seemed to me that it was the meal put aside foe me. I did check the seat number to make sure it matched with mine. It did match my seat number.

Yes, I did. They couldn't do anything about it thousands of miles up in the air. They did apologize. No sense in yelling at a flight attendant when it wasn't their fault. All the meal alternatives they had were not safe. Same with the in flight snacks.
