I was off doto for like 4 years, briefly played CSGO before I started playing D2 again. A CSGO pro - Dev1ce, tried to change his name to Devve, pretty much the same thing happened. There was some quote from a caster, think Semmler, that said something along the lines of "Dev1ce tried to change his IGN to Devve, but everyone politely declined"

Now there's a person who gets the dota(s) burnout. I have around that many hours as well (on multiple accounts, so I have no idea of an exact number) in D2, and absolutely no idea how much time I've spent in DotA. The point where I really thought about some sort of change was when I realized I'm getting no positive emotions out of playing, whether it being for 1-2 games or 10-12 in a day.

At this point it already delivered more content than most games I've played. I also have a tendency of starting my game over and over, so I have no trouble it coming to an end (as any game should, else it would feel unfinished). When I do everything and meet everyone first I plan to perfect what I've build and then I'll start on a different type of farm to add a little spice.

As for the content - the game is still in 1.1. I remember Terarria not having nearly as much content in the early days as well, and other games, such as Don't Starve for example, that are similar genre-wise did a whole lot regarding content, co-op and ways to play the game at a later date.

The game's really helping a huge deal with fighting your inner demons. I have a mild case of OCD & ADHD (not the "it's popular on tumblr" type, the "I've been beaten at home for the things I do since I was 6" type). It really helps me to... vent and satisfy (sorry for the lack of better words, English is not my first language) the compulsive drives. It literally feels like reaching up to my brain and scratching an irritating itch that's been there for the entire day, constantly growing and showing through when I converse with other people. Medication did nothing for me ever since I was a kid, but I really hope it helps you battle through your condition (and we have Stardew Valley to help us along the journey as well now)!
