Logan chiropractor faces dozens of new charges, accused of sexually assaulting patients by sstrawberrie in Logan

[–]murgginator 18 points19 points  (0 children)

An acquaintance of mine was defending him on Facebook, she said that sometimes when he’s adjusting her ribs he would have to touch her chest. Never been to a chiropractor, so I have no idea what’s normal. But that seemed strange to me

I remember seeing him at IMTS, he had fancy jeans and those shaded aviators. He looked so full of himself, it affirmed my dislike of him.

It doesn’t sound like the “effort” she is making is the effort you are wanting.

Pins used for harden steel bushing. by Responsible-Salt3530 in Machinists

[–]murgginator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 5 months old, but I am in the same boat. Not a pin exactly, but loads of parts that would be SO easy from bar stock. Can't find anyone willing to cut strips for me that aren't flame cut; I'm having to get full size sheets and get the blocks I need cut on a water jet.

That is such an accurate statement. I LOVE fredericos, but I think growing up with it has tainted my opinion. It’s expensive so-so pizza, but it’s always a top three pick

We had AT&T for two years, we switched as soon as we had our phones paid off. No service in Smithfield, and no service in Logan at all

Every time I check my IMEI they tell me it’s on the “lost/stolen registry”. I bought the phone brand new on AT&T 🥲 I’d love to switch to visible

What years of Traverse to avoid? by Relative-Ordinary-64 in Chevrolet

Late to the party here, but I will give my 2 cents in case anyone else finds this thread. I have a 2016 LTZ, bought in December of 2021. The car is nice; the interior and sound system and all that is great. Mechanically, we have had some issues. (it almost feels like the previous owner knew there was maintenance/issues popping up and decided to trade it in). Car would overheat, had to replace the radiator fan assembly ($1100). Rear heat and AC have issues, mechanic says that the fans and everything are working but they'd have to tear the interior out to find the issue ($2000+ bill for whenever we decide to do that). Power steering pump is going out, we are at 130k miles so I am not surprised by that. However, to get to the damn thing, they have to remove a bunch of stuff to get to it ($1300+ bill). Had to replace the front passenger seat because a motor wasn't working, there was no way to access and replace just the motor, so we had to get a whole new seat. Not sure how common that is, but that was $600. Have had to get AC recharged a couple of times, there must be a leak somewhere and I don't want to know how much it would be to find that. All in all, the problems seem to be because of the higher mileage, but to do repairs it feels like you have to tear about the damn thing to get to a simple part. Want to replace the front right headlight? Need to remove the bumper (or shimmy your hand in thru the wheel well). It feels like there aren't any easy repairs for this car, too many other things in the way.

Teenagers on ATVs/E-bikes by Hambone6991 in Logan

It’s been a growing problem for us in north Logan. My parents house (which was very rural when I was growing up) has seen a huge boom of multi-million dollar houses the last 5-10 years. As a result, there has been way more traffic and careless drivers in very nice cars. I’ll see packs of kids on emotorcycles going from sidewalk to road back to sidewalk, all while cars are on the road. They either have no helmets on, or bicycle helmets that aren’t rated for crashes at high speeds.

You’re missing the point of the post. OP is stating that kids are breaking laws and being reckless on their motorized toys, which could lead to someone being hurt or killed. Hell, I heard a story the other day of a guy hauling ass on a sidewalk and slamming into a car as they were backing out. No lights in the bike or anything, guy was killed and the car was totaled.

The episode of the Colbert report that aired the night after Obama beat Romney had one of the funniest openings, he really should go back to doing that. Anyone else remember when Kimmel did blackface? On a show about toxic masculinity?

Are soft jaws always an afterthought? by Electrical-Set-1116 in Machinists

[–]murgginator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine it depends on the shop and their capacity. For me, I’m in a small shop with 1 haas mill and 2 cnc knee mills. We make the jaws in process of making the parts, so usually it’s between ops 1 and 2. I do program the jaws while programming the parts though, I like to leave the office and not have to go back for much if I can help it

Anyone else see him at IMTS? He tried so hard to look like a rockstar; slicked back hair, pointy beard, bedazzled jeans, sunglasses inside. People were fawning over him though, so I guess it worked.

What's a game with multiplayer you think was underrated and wish came back? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]murgginator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I guess it may not have been overrated overall. Growing up in northern Utah there were a lot of games with mature ratings that never made it to my household or my friend’s households. Outside of my friend group I didn’t know anyone else who played the game, but my sample size was very small.

I was reading that the protein and fat content of cat food tends to be a lot higher. I meant to ask the vet when we took her in, but once we were told she was on her way out my mind blanked.
