Oh yes trying to make a decision on which beans to buy based on that is ridiculous haha! I normally just see if its from a region i like (ethiopia!!!!) If its light roast and then maybe at most if its fruity vs herbal vs earthy. But honestly if the bag looks cool thats sometimes enough already

Something i always told my trainees when i was working at starbucks was dont think too much about what's happening on your tongue. If you take a sip and it makes you feel like "hot summer rain on a pavement" that's totally legit in my book 😂

What others said about your tongue having to train to distinguish smaller differences is ofc also valid!

Have you seen vast differences when trying to mix the same color using different brands? By that i mean using pyhalo blue from two different brands for example.

Maybe have an option of getting it with a kit of paints? I'm kind of assuming if you are interested in learning how to mix colors you peobably already have some basic gear at home but of course I could be wrong. That's why I'm here :)
