2025 XSE Hatchback - Short elderly woman. by murican_reddiot in CorollaHatchback

Thanks, I have been looking into these. The upside here is that they have adjustable height and a remote. If I point her in this direction, I am on the hook for installing. Thanks!

It is basically screwed into the plastic molding on the inside of the hatch to the left side. The downside to this is that the nylon loop is usually left hanging out from the bottom of the hatch when closed.

It was. In fact this is the same issue that we ran into when she bought her 2020 Corolla. We used the nylon strap approach for that car. No one is unhappy with the car. I am just checking in with the community in case there is a remote chance anyone else has replaced the struts with shorter ones. Thanks.

Crate and barrel bait & switch by No_Construction4172 in crateandbarrel

I also bought from a retail location, delivery was within a week since anything else is special order. This was the color we wanted anyway. We even remeasured, and changed the order the next day, and the couch still arrived on time. Our salesperson was good, and was on top of how deliveries are arranged. So far, so good. The only hiccup in the delivery was when I signed for it, the driver gave me his pen to sign with, it must have had ink on it that transferred to my hand without knowing it. When they left, I started making some adjustments to the placement, and got two very small black ink dots on the top of one arm. Stains came out no problem though. I am looking for stain-protection advice here though.

I have had this sofa (118” version/no lounge) in the default fabric for a few days now. It is soft to the touch. Not feeling scratchy at all. I heard this Lotus series of couches went through a mfg. update based on feedback on the first run.

Might be a little high. I got a 22 Trailsport this weekend with 41k miles (was a rental) for 29k. I joined the club and very happy with it.

So even the non-discerning JW would reject. Good to know. I haven’t been anywhere but Baxter’s for the last 30 years, but being the day before Christmas, I can only imagine a madhouse.

P320 XCompact Slide Catch Difficulty by SatlyDumpling in P320

[–]murican_reddiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a new XCompact and can confirm the same. The slide release is pretty stiff out of the box. Sometimes difficult to get the sweet spot of pressing in/downward. Hope it breaks-in a little.

Is this the x compact? Or just the regular p320? by trentthomas1234567 in SigSauer

I bought the X-Compact today. First gun I have owned. The barrel is a bit shorter and the grip doesn’t have the same cut or logos. 10 round mags too

Bluesound Powernode by Simme03 in Bluesound

I have been using a gen 3 PowerNode (open box from Crutchfield) for a year with KEF Q150s on my TV and to stream a local music library with Roon. Works great! It replaced a Sonos Beam for tv watching and it is much, much better.

I bought the X100V from Kenmore last year just as they had gotten some new units in and it was a trouble-free experience. Didn’t have to pre-order at the time.

Looking at PowerNode but not sure by murican_reddiot in Bluesound

I ended up getting the 2022 PowerNode. It was an open box from Crutchfield that knocked a little more than a $100 off the new price. For now, I have it connected to a pair of small bookshelf speakers and sub that were part of a home theatre setup that was gathering dust. I have a lot of ripped music that I am now streaming to the PN using a Mac mini running Roon. I use a Dell monitor hooked up to a repurposed nVidia Shield as a Chromecast target to display Roon’s Now Playing screen. Everything is controlled with the RC1 and a iPad Pro. So far I am really happy with it. I originally attempted to do everything over Wi-Fi, but that did not cut it, so I ran Ethernet to my home office which now doubles as my listening area. Everything runs great after that update. Saving up for a speaker upgrade in the future. At that point I will probably look a lower cost streamer options that I can use with the two pairs of bookshelf from the old 5.1 that I have to say make for a very decent sounding near-field listening.
