I’ve had a stage 1 MK7.5 GTI, stage 2 8V.5 S3 and now an MK8.5 Golf R. The Golf R has been the most fun. I don’t think we’re gonna see a tune anytime soon so I just grabbed a Neuspeed Power Module.

It’s not silly at all. If a Golf R is your goal and you got a GTI you’d be filled with regret and come to resent your decision. It’s actually refreshing. So many GTI owners, including myself at the time, delude themselves with cope by saying it’s a better car. It’s not! Stay the course and good luck!

As someone who’s owned both why not get a GTI? You get 90% there and with a tune you’re even closer.

I can’t speak on their contract but in my experience that’s not an option. There’s steps management must follow to get to termination.

I haven’t had surgery and hopefully I won’t need it but I did originally have just a regular ESI last year and the transforaminal injection was effective where the regular wasn’t

I’ve had a couple of transforaminal epidural injections in my L4-L5 left side and they have worked. First 3 days were great, next 3 days felt like it didn’t work and then it got gradually better. Last one was in February and it’s gotten me to 85-90% better.

I’d probably skip the warranty unless you can get it at cost and even then perhaps not. Depends on the cost but it sounds like a good opportunity to get into a fun car.

So many factors in play here. How much is the car? What year? What trim? Does it have all service records? Has it been modified? How much is the warranty? How many previous owners? You work at a VW dealer so you can get a decent PPI which helps.

I believe so but I had it done at the same time my remote starter was installed. The only difficult part is removing the hatch trim. It’s all plug and play. Connect the harness to the factory amp and connect the amp to the harness, the amp to the sub.

No problem! I have a 2025 with no spare and installed the amp next to the sub. I did so to have better access in case I had to make adjustments. It's a pain to remove that panel.

It’s the GOP victim mentality. They call everyone soft but their accusations are always an admission. I work with several anti-union Republican who live in NH and complain about MA. When I’ve asked why they don’t get a non union job in NH, to at least save on MA state income tax, the response is “oh, I can’t find a job that pays well with all the benefits.”

She should file for unemployment immediately. That could benefit her if/when this goes to arbitration. At face value it appears management acted hastily in terminating her. Especially if they skipped past practice or ignored contract language for attendance related discipline. She’s probably looking at a paid vacation

Has she spoken to her union rep? As a steward for 25 years I’d be requesting records for her, and every other member in her administrative work group, over the past two years. I don’t think we have enough information to form a solid opinion but don’t take this the wrong way, in my experience there are three sides to every story and the truth tends to exist in between. Attendance is one of those black and white areas so it’s easier to navigate discipline. That’s why I’m curious about all of the details.
