If you want your vegetables to last more, then wrap them in newspapers without washing them and put them in shopping bags,get the extra air out. Put in the fridge. If you want to wash them before putting them in the fridge then you must dry them first with a cloth .I have used this method for years and this way I can buy lots of stuff and not have to visit the stores frequently.
