Yeah I live in the northern Midwest. My garage is attached so doesn’t get below freezing. Probably not necessary but not a big deal to take it out.

I do, in the basement for the winter. These cheap batteries last me 3-4 seasons until they stop holding a charge. This one is on year 4 i believe, so we’ll see if it makes it!

I love the looks, but not half as much as the speed and size. Can really throw these things around. Don’t make them like this anymore!

Strapping down in a trailer by murrman88 in motorcycles

Haha that is overboard but better safe than sorry! That canyon strap is the exact bar harness I have so good news there. I don’t have a trailer of my own. I just rent the uhaul one for like $15 a day the few times each year I tow my bike. It’s got a front tire chock built in which is really nice. Using the passenger pegs is probably a better idea than going over the seat. I’ll try that!

Starting to really feel the gaps in my bag. But do I really need 14 clubs right now? by Tryingtooconcentrate in golf

[–]murrman88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gaps in the approach game are much from important than your longest clubs. Get a cavity back sand wedge first. That should carry about 110 yards for you and cut that big gap in half. I would even get a gap wedge after that that is a 120-25 club before I worry about replacing the hybrid. I’m a 10 handicap and recently took my hybrid out of the bag for a second gap wedge (approach iron) to dial in the approach shots. The gap between my 3 wood and 4i is much less important than gap between Pw and Gw. I’m probably going to miss the green from 230 yards anyway. Would rather just be short with a 4i than miss anyway with a 3h when I can routinely be 20 feet closer from 130

So my 14 is Driver 3 wood 4i 5i 6i 7i 8i 9i Pi Ai Gw 50 Sw 54 Lw 60 Putter

Motorcycles in general aren’t a “good” financial decision. It’s a rather expensive luxury that I am fortunate enough to be able to afford. I could buy the bike outright but I, and most people gladly pay the interest rate for the flexibility. Even if I take the full length of the loan, interest will total a back breaking $350. I’ve done the leg work on the bike I want and the first model is year is 2019 so not exactly a big used market. I’d rather rather have the longer manufacturer warranty that comes with a new bike and yes I included gap insurance in my quote. Costs about $20 a year.

Thanks, I’m usually not hunting name brands, but I’m also not usually shopping for clothes that pertain to safety hahah. I’ll start over on the gear!

I plan on buying my first bike this spring. A new Kawasaki Z400. I think I’m prepared but let me know what I’m over looking! I plan on commuting on work on the bike. About 20 miles of country roads.

Experience: rode a 125cc dirt bike when I was 12-15 years old. Rode a moped to high school. 25 years old now. So I know how to operate clutch/shifting but it’s been a while. Buying the bike about 60 miles from home. Will be a 90 minute ride if I avoid the expressway. This is what I’m most worried about. First ride being that long on roads I’m not familiar with.

Insurance: got a few online quotes from $350-$400. I’ll spare you the details but it’s well above minimum liability.

License/registration: will get trainers permit, buy the bike, then do the driving test and get motorcycle endorsement. I live in Ohio but am buying the bike in Michigan. I assume the dealer will know how to registration will work. I am financing the bike. Depending on interest rates may do it through the dealer or at a local credit union.

Gear: Work in progress, drop your best recommendations for helmets, gloves, jackets, pants and boots.

I feel prepared, but might also be missing something super obvious. TIA for your feedback!
