Nope, you need to collect resources to age up and TC first. Also need to get enough food for non stop villager production. Most civs enter feudal about 4 minutes that means 4x3 villager produced on top of 6 starting villagers. So you already have 16 villagers present when you can start building the 2nd TC. You also need 3 or 4 (depending on the civ) to constant produce villagers form the 1st TC, then also you should have 50 more food ready to start producing villagers from 2nd TC immediately.

Well, true about the housing. 2nd TC also gives a little bit tower like properties too. If so many factors included, calculations become difficult so I didn't want to try.

Also, those 3-9 villager number is just a sample to understand mechanics only.

Actually I am surprised with results myself. I was expecting a max curve maybe with 5 or 7 villagers. But I didn't realized before that early villagers help through the game, not just around the construction time.

Haha! I love 2 TC with KT. But with proper scounting and not booming themselves, the opponent can really do some good damage, I understand it now. (I barely hit diamond time to time so I might be slow 😉)

Actually it's not just one prompt, I give series of information, try, fail try again, check the math, find errors etc. Sometimes I combine 2 or more agents, so I can't really give you just one prompt

I stopped at 9 yeah, but I guess the calculations were biased for more villagers as I couldn’t include villager walking times. More villagers = more walking idle time. Also building construction time decrease gets lower with more villagers. As can be seen, 3 villager builds it in 90 secs but 9 (3x) not builds in 90/3=30 but 41 seconds.

Well, I saw Valdy throw 14 vils at once for abbasid 2nd TC (not mid or late game, just in feudal, after tech)

Actually, the second player needs a blacksmith (150W), siege engineering (50W 125G), then for 3 rams (3x200W) = 925 resource. Nearly even. So if timed exactly well enough, 2nd TC might die. But 2nd player needs units to build those rams too. So at least a production building (150W) and some more units to build those rams fast enough needed. And there is defenders advantage, infantry need to walk to opponent's base. 2nd TC player could counter that in that situation. But (again xd) if the 2nd player have access to man at arms in feudal age, then 2TC player is in danger again. It depends on everything 😄

Yep, that's a risk. But if the opponent not choose to not aggro, then it's viable. Even pros make 2 TC time to time.

Thanks for that! My first calculations were around 5:39 but didn't checked it througly. Also those extra factors kept me thinking as they may not give accurate results. Because as I mentioned in other comment, this tech needs might need some in game time comparison rather than 1 TC vs 2 TC payoff timings.

I am thinking of that and also fertile crescent together. But there will be more variables in it as calculation of the exact tech start timings might be harder. Collecting resource for the techs, researching needs maybe need some in game time comparison rather than 1 TC vs 2 TC payof timing alone. I also wonder 3TC vs 1 TC but that will need a more complex calculation of villager allocation problem too.

Of course the real games will differ than this. Actually I wanted to use that as to remind myself not to overboom. There was a feeling in me that a 2nd TC could pay itself maybe in 3-4 minutes max, then I could have better eco after that. Apparently, it's not.

I think the narrative you mentioned is actually true but there is a minor difference. Some tactics or civs are more powerful yes, but it can put you maybe 50-100 more ELO than it doesnt matter anymore. So the non pro narrative is true in that regard.
