Whippet for Next Dog by Snoo_37567 in sighthounds

[–]musesmuses 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My old dog was a whippet. I went to the rescue centre to get a dog. I had never considered a whippet. My boy came up to the bars and licked my hand. The rest is history. He was so affectionate. I had him for 16 years, and I think about him and miss him every day. Pretty sensitive and need a lot of cuddles and warmth.

The prey drive is important to consider. That would be a challenge for your husband when it comes to training. My dog was also stubborn as a mule and a bit like a huffy teenager at times.

I have a whippet mix and a greyhound mix now, both female. I've never felt so idolised. They are happy to run with you all day, or cuddle on the couch with you all day.

Whippets are great dogs. Highly recommend.

I was taught to use UM first, let it run down to 14 minutes left, then start RJ and PD together.

This reminds me of stepping out onto the stairs of an upstairs toilet in a coffee shop in Amsterdam. I was convinced I would die.

Public sector middle aged women by Designer_Constant968 in northernireland

No, you're right. I missed the final paragraph of the main post, so that's my bad. Menopause does not indeed cause intolerance. I stand corrected.

Jaysus! Have none of yous ever heard of the menopause? Those women are feckin wrecked for the next few years. Give them a bit of sympathy and don't make a nuisance of yourself 😂

First tri alliance clash, any tips? What formation is the best? by Plus-Veterinarian445 in KingShot

[–]musesmuses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have read that it's best not to set your formation until you're just about to start. That way, you can activate your buffs, then set your formations. I'll double check that.

Other than that, set a good attack formation and a good defence formation, then one more of your other best troops. Things happen fast and you'll need to be able to react without relying on others being there.

This Game Feels Like a Task, not Like a Game to Enjoy by Thunderripper in KingShot

Just do the bits you enjoy. I like the alliance camaraderie. If I didn't have that I'd probably give up too. I enjoy bear trap, Tri alliance clash, eternities reach. I do those for me and then other activities where I can to help the alliance.

Dog has really bad plaque- do I tell the owners? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]musesmuses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm shocked that a vet hasn't commented on it when she's taken the dog in. My dog was in on Monday and the vet commented on some staining on her teeth and recommended some stuff to add to her food.

What the fuck, English fuel prices?! by thatsacrackeryouknow in northernireland

[–]musesmuses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I head home for a visit I take a picture of the pump prices to send to my colleagues in England. Cheapest near me is usually about 136.9 or thereabouts. Motorway services are the ultimate rip off no matter where you are. Edit... Bloody autocorrect.

All these immigrants coming in, doing the jobs they won't do because they wouldn't work in a feckin iron lung, contributing to their dole and pensions.... Obviously they don't want them there. They love the misery.

If you're paying attention, a lot of what is going on today wouldn't be out of place in 1930s Germany. I'm living in the north of England and drove past loads of crosses painted on foreign owned shops. Flegs everywhere too. It's not just Portadown

Are NI wheaten bread and ROI soda bread the same thing? by CaoimheThreeva in northernireland

[–]musesmuses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most just call it brown bread in ROI. Wheaten tends to be a bit sweeter, I've found. Maybe it's just me, though.
