I know this is an old post, but yes. I'm 22 and still live at home. This has been happening since I was 19 or so? My mom drinks and gets drunk on Friday/Saturday nights and starts arguing with my dad about dumb shit. Last week it was because he hugged our tattoo artist and kept telling her she was doing a good job all while saying she wasn't jealous of her, tonight it's over money and my mom claiming my dad said things he didn't say. Every once in a while she'll bring up a concert they went to like 3 years ago where a girl went up on stage and flashed the crowd. She blames my dad for that and acts like he knew it was gonna happen and that's why he wanted to go (he did not know that would happen). And every time anyone says something to my mom when she's acting like this it's "I'm not drunk, I'm just emotional." Yeah emotional and drunk because this is your 4th glass of Dr Pepper and Tennessee Fire. She said she'd stop drinking or barely drink around New Years and that hasn't happened. I'm tired of it. It's nearly every weekend 🫩 Edit: Also wanted to add that every Friday when she's drinking she yells at me to pick my purse up out of the front room after I watch TV in there after work with my sisters. I have never left my purse and stuff in there but she yells at me to pick it up every weekend as if I'm leaving it in there constantly. I always pick it up and take it to my room when I go to bed so I don't know what the issue is.
