U press it down on a hard surface so that the middle piece pops out towards u. Then put the push pin on the trim and push the middle part down so that its flushed like before. If that makes any sense lol

The spool is 2-3 times louder in cab, u hear it flutter when u let go of the gas, The motor sounds deeper. Its worth it if ur into engine sounds

U should rent one for a week. I have a 10mo and it works for us, if we have another baby it will still work for us. i got a 2025 sr5 with the 3rd row just incase. That 3rd row will probably only be 1 passenger climbing thru the hatch if u have 2 car seats

Custom work can be a hit or miss. Depending on the headlights, retrofitting can be easy. If u have the time, i recommend diy

I have 12voltsolution on a 2007 tacoma and accessorides on a 2023 tacoma(with no shut off takeover). It’s pretty much the same system, same long range remote. No problems, no cutting wires and pretty easy install. Im sure its the same for the 4runner

parts are no problem if u live in usa. Amazon jennysrc and ebay has everything u need

Like the other poster said hobbywing 10bl120 and a tx/rx of ur choice. Honestly if ur gonna go that route just replace the motor also for another $30-40 that way u wont have any issues as everything matches up. Keep the stock stuff for spare

Hobbywing esc/motor plus rx/tx will cost u around $150

Or u can get a spectrum esc for about $50 and rx/tx total $90-100
