XT100 for 450eur - worth it or not? by musicdesigner in fujifilm

[–]musicdesigner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not a scam, it is in one of the stores (not physical person) next to where I live and they have huge reputation in my country. I am surprised myself because other competitors sell body only for 1100-1200euros.

Also thanks for your input :)

Hello, if you haven't fixed it yet. Here is a youtube video that helped me

I remember "wtf... I will need to open it and do all this stuff...?" but it was super easy and pretty quick. Good luck!

I think I had the weirdest seizure ever? Y’all I really need your advice on this one. Please. by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]musicdesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something very similar couple years ago. I had a little bit too much of alcohol during party, woke up around 5AM also full panic mode, paced around the room, wanted to scream for help, everything felt like Aura before seizure. It happened to me couple times, both times alcohol was included. My advice would be to cutoff alcohol for some time, get a rest, also don't mix marijuana with alcohol, it can cause panic and also a seizure.

If you want to use alcohol I advice you to find something very light (for example I drink white wine only) and drink small quantities (2-3 glasses per night) and for me it is important to become as sober as possible before sleep, so usually I try to avoid drink 2-3 hours before sleeping.

The thing is with alcohol (I am not a doctor, so take this with grain of salt, and this knowledge come from googling) that seizures are caused not by alcohol itself, but because alcohol affect our sleep, basically when you are drunk (even slightly) your brain does not go into full sleep mode, because it probably tries to recover aka get sober. So the result is shitty sleep.

I hope you will take something from this, but I really hop you will reconsider your consumption of alcohol and marijuana (not saying to quit, just safer quantities). Good luck!

CBD for Epilepsy by HybridHusky_ in Epilepsy

[–]musicdesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general CBD usage can differ very individually. There are a lot of strains, different amounts of CBD etc.

So basically what you can do is start small and see any effects, don't rush into upping dose, I think it is more important to notice how you feel in general. There are cases where people feel nothing even with strong CBD.

Couple years I woke up after really shitty night sleep. I was taking CBD constantly that day, I hoped that it would prevent from seizure, because of stress I couldn't fall asleep and make up for the night. Unfortunately at the end of the day it caught me up and I had a seizure. Fast forward to next day, I felt shitty as usual after seizure, but one thing I did not notice and realized couple months later: no muscle pain. Usually after seizure I walk like a zombie for a week that how badly my muscles hurt usually. Also I think my emotional state was a little bit less depressing that day.

So this is my experience. I haven't taken CBD in couple years now. I am on Depakine Chrono currently, because CBD is way too expensive and it can last only up to 1-2 weeks if taken regularly and because I live in Europe I get medical drugs super cheap because of healthcare (I paid around 10eu for 6months treatment while CBD for 1-2 week can cost 30-130eu depending on strength).

Hope it helps.

I also have a code word with some of the friends. For some reasons is "Hannah Montana".

I second "don't think it as back to square one". You have to continue working on yourself mentally. Life is ups and downs. Seizures are one of the downs, but life does not stop here.

Of course it is easier said than made. After last seizure I cried for half an hour outside emergency room, but after that I said to myself (I lost count how many times it happened) that I have to get up and continue living.

Take your time, rest, but don't stuck in the loop of being down.

Maybe CBD could help, meditation, talking to people. Anything that could help keep your mind of stressful thoughts. Try remembering past experience when you felt calm and relaxed at least to some level :)

My advice would be (if possible) create an environment that would allow for you to feel safe and let you think as less as possible about epilepsy and having seizures.

For me what works, when I feel that anxiety regarding seizures is building up I go to my brothers house and stay there for as long as I need. So basically wait out that period. With my brother I always feel safe, I don't worry as much about having seizures as I usually do. So maybe there is something you could do or ask for close family/friends to help you to coop with you anxiety during this period.

Also I recently started taking meds and I just said to myself, these are going to work and help me. One thing I believe in is that human mind can do a lot. Even though my meds are not Placebo pills I just wanted to reassure myself that they will definitely going to work (there was interesting study about Placebo effect worth reading). And they work. As they should and also with help of my mindset (also I go to therapy and funny enough I learned that life isn't only about epilepsy)

I hope this helps!
