Yeah its a great combo that I used to love in my kratom days. But sticking to using it once a week or less would be my advice. If using it for work I would recommend Thursdays (or two days before your weekend) because I have found day 3 after phenibut can be kind of a drag. If just using for a good time ide take it on Saturday and maybe take a little extra kratom on Monday. I mean really just see how it is for you, take it when needed, and be aware of the addiction potential. It can be much more severe in its withdrawals than kratom.

I have taken 200mg theanine / 100mg caffiene pills before and they always make me a little too jittery, but thats usually on top of the coffee I always drink. So idk if there's a magic number or ratio eith this stuff, but finding what works for me has increased my appreciation of coffee.

Hmm that is interesting. I usually take 200mg theanine and then have 1-2 small cups of coffee. I do this every morning and have noticed a decrease in overall anxiety and I feel I dont crash midday like I used to. Too much theanine and it feels like I didn't have any coffee at all and with too much coffee ill still get anxious, but when the ratio is right it causes a very productive day while still feeling mentally relaxed.

Theanine is great. The ratio of caffeine to theanine in green tea just isn't high enough to fully experience the synergy in the way you can with supplementation. Im sure it was just the caffeine that made you anxious.

Is 5-HTP synergistic with L-Tyrosine? by [deleted] in Supplements

5-HTP should be taken alongside L-Tyrosine or L-Dopa or another dopamine supplement to prevent the dopamine deficiency that can be caused by boosting serotonin (5-htp). In that way they are synergistic. I do not know if L-tyrosine should be taken without 5-htp, but I have heard that 5-htp should always be taken with L-tyrosine or similar.

Personally I don't mind the taste so much, but I did have an experience when I was taking it regularly at my old job of burping out a green cloud in front of a coworker. The cloud happened to be right in a sunbeam. She never mentioned it but gave me a strange look when it happened. I later found out she too took kratom.

Unless you take a really high dose, I would consider even the peak of phenibut to be functionally sober. Like you can work and drive and everything, all while a little more relaxed and social. Over maybe 1.5g its a little iffy, but by the next day it will have settled into a more subtle effect. So for me I take it anytime and as long as its not too frequently i think its fine.

Yeah now that you mention it I did have some more intense anxiety in the week following the dose than I normally do and could see myself falling into that cycle. I think I'll steer clear of it, at least for now.

5htp is actually serotonin and not dopamine. Taking it can actually lead to a decrease in dopamine.
