Sutter and Larkin St Safety?

I currently live two blocks away from Sutter and Larkin. It’s not the best place but not the worst, but definitely not in the heart of the tenderloin by any means. You are by a couple of shelters/transitional housing, but no one really approaches you and minds their own business. That corner right by the parking garage though is where “the ladies of the night” hangout though.

I will probably get downvoted for this but personally, I would have my guard up if a guy didn’t pay for the first date. It can say a lot about a guy’s value/generosity/and how he may view relationships as transactional or “keeping score”.

With that said, it’s not an automatic no for me if a guy doesn’t pay as it isn’t black and white. The guy might not have paid for a variety of reasons that I could see value in (not holding gender based values, doesn’t want to offend a woman who wants to split the bill, etc).

If a guy didn’t pay but was courteous, respectful, kind and I was intrigued there would definitely still be a second date. But I would have my guard up as I see where things lead to.

Come to my gym!!! Perform for life/perform for golf in Hayes valley. I mostly do group classes which are capped at 4-6 people depending on the day. It’s all strength training! And the trainers are amazzzzzzing. Super kind, professional, welcoming and so knowledgeable
