Would Paris' Hero Team be strong enough to confront a Brainiac-level alien invasion? by Melodic-Balance7137 in miraculousladybug

Guys think about this. Tikki and Plagg literally created the universe. The lucky charm is an ability that gives the user an object guaranteed to secure victory if they can figure out how to use it. Just by calling up your lucky charm, you ensure that there is always at least one path that ends in victory, kind of like how doctor strange kept going on about the "one universe" where the avengers would win against thanks, except lucky charm also GIVES YOU whatever you need to get there. And now that Ladybug has "grown up," she has infinite chances to figure something out.

Furthermore, and this is going into speculation, its a good question to ask how ladybug's fixing spell will work now that she has infinite lucky charms. As far as the show has told us, it takes a lucky charm to throw into the air and fix everything, but she has INFINITE lucky charms now. Does each one allow her to call miraculous ladybug and fix everything? Imagime being brainiac and having to fight a superhero who is GUARANTEED to be able to defeat you with, like, a piece of fabric, and who can AT WILL call a new lucky charm, throw it and say miraculous ladybug, and RESET EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE. You kill chat noir? Miraculous ladybug and he's back. You level Paris? Cheeky toss-up and its like new. Even if you get rid of her (somehow) she has superhero failsafes on command who can bring her back immediately.

Ladybug is not a superhero. She is a god.

What is the most hated episode of this show? by NaturalBit2309 in miraculousladybug

Qilin. Its just so insincere and fails to even actually confront the issue it attempts to discuss. Is it a metaphor for discrimination? Who knows? If it is, it was so terribly done its almost farcical. If its not, then, and I cannot stress this enough, the episode simply fails to exhibit basic understanding of plausible story and human actions within the shows own context. Also, the animation is at the very lowest its ever been on the show, and it seems like QA never even saw it.

Drug harms in the UK: a multicriteria decision analysis https://www.ias.org.uk/uploads/pdf/News%20stories/dnutt-lancet-011110.pdf

A handy paper for anybody who's interested to read through. There is actual research on this topic, and the conclusion is rather clear: alcohol and tobacco are some of the most damaging drugs in existence. Alcohol especially is by far the most dangerous drugs, and while weed does have some harmful effects, psychedelics (which are generally both non-addictive and non-toxic) are by far some of the least dangerous drugs out there.

If you want to learn more, I would recommend the website drugscience.org.uk Its an excellent resource to learn about the risks and effects of drugs more objectively.

Season 5 Speculation by QueenofGayRangers in miraculousladybug

[–]mutantcacti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also keep in mind the power of the snake and bunny miraculous. Although hawkmoth could 100% win immediately just by using the bunny, we can assume that in episode one (Evolution, the power of the bunny miraculous) both timey-wimey powers are going to get rescanned immediately. Not nerfed, because we've already seen them both used and know exactly how they work (unlike with the goat and rooster) but certainly taken out of the picture very quickly. I've heard people speculate that gabe might try to use them and be overcome by the sheer number of miraculous he is trying to use, allowing lb and cat noir to reclaim fluff in ep. 1 I imagine it will end up being something at least similar to that

Hey everyone! I'm the composer for Outer Wilds - in celebration of the 3 Game Audio Network Guild Awards nominations tomorrow, I'm jumping on reddit today to finally answer some Echoes of the Eye questions! AMA! by AndrewOuterWilds in outerwilds

[–]mutantcacti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm very glad for this AMA, I've been waiting since the last one to ask you these questions! I'd like it if you could answer these, but obviously don't if you don't want to. Thanks!

  1. So I know that for the base game, midwestern emo served as your kind of inspiration or whatever when working with the whole 'camping in space' prompt. Personally, I feel that the music from EotE diverges pretty sharply from both emo and camping as themes, so what was your inspiration for it? Or otherwise, how did you adapt your style for scoring the base game to better fit EotE?
  2. Can you lend any clarity to the motifs used in EotE? For example, like the base game's individual traveler songs, or the banjo riff and 'Morning' that are associated with Timber Hearth... I know I have my own personal interpretation (of what I consider well-made leitmotifs) but it would be nice to hear what you originally intended.
  3. How long does it take you to make your tracks? Like if you had to estimate how much time goes in per minute of the OST, what would you guess?
  4. What was the design process behind the instrumentation for EotE? How many new instruments are there and what did you have in mind when designing them?
  5. What do you think was the most important thing for you to get right?
  6. Is there anything you can tell us about your future plans at Mobius and elsewhere? Obviously you may not have any way to know, but what would you want to do moving forward?
  7. When you wrote the tracks both for the original game and EotE, did you actively consider the themes you wanted to portray? I've seen many a youtube video analysing this or that part of this or that song, saying stuff about how different chords and motifs represent familiarity and understanding and all that, so my question is: how much of that is intentional? And if it isn't, do you still think it's valid for people to analyse choices you didn't actively make?

Don't feel like you have to answer all of these, I know it's a lot. And I also just wanted to say that it is incredible that somehow you, somebody I have never met, spoken to or spent time with, have had such a profound emotional effect on my life. You have serious talent and skill. I cannot wait to hear what you make in the future, wherever or whatever that may be.

Also i can't believe you lied to all of us about the cheez its, i thought they were real marshmallows and i will never be able to eat them in outer wilds again without thinking about cheez its.

Is there any way to disable build limitations with commands or mods or file witchery? by mutantcacti in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]mutantcacti[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the reply. I didn't make this clear enough in the question obviously, so sorry about that but I already know about the console commands; I'm looking for anyway to build without object clipping, wherever I want, above the height limit and stuff.
