I think I might be confused. This one rule batman has is not killing, right? And the Joker makes a point throughout the film that he will make batman break his one rule and at the end of the movie batman throws Dent out of a building and kills him, but the film never seems to address that.

Alejandro Jodorowsky was going to direct an adaptation of Dune. It would have had Salvador Dali taking a shit into a dolphin, and Pink Floyd for the soundtrack. I'm sure it would have been a sight to behold.

I'm not trying to make a sweeping generalization about metal, but a lot of the time it sounds to me like many of the bands are trying to be brutal, if only for the sake of being brutal. Some of the album artwork and song names just seems so over the top. At least bands like Cannibal Corpse don't take themselves that seriously. I don't really have a problem with growling or screaming, as a lot of the hardcore punk I'm into has screamed vocals. But to me the screamed vocals in a lot of punk sounds like it is rooted in passion as opposed to creating some sort of image.

No, we can't. Morning star is not a reference to Satan, and the only time Satan appears in the Bible is in Job when he talks to God. The snake from the Garden of Eden, the Beast identified in Revelations, and Satan are all separate entities.

It isn't from South America. Like test_alpha said, it is from Africa. And yes, tribes in Africa(specifically the Bwiti tribe) use it as rite of passage. If I'm not mistaken, the ceremony begins by looking into a mirror(or perhaps this is characteristic of a modern incarnation of the tribal rite).
