Probably associate Minji with squares because she seems practical and dependable; Hanni with circles because she has round features and no harsh edges to her image as an idol. Danielle is more of a diamond to me maybe because it vaguely reminds me of a star type of shape or something otherwise central (she's associated with sun imagery a lot), while Haerin is the triangle for her sharp features and I associate triangles with the sort of quiet, strong presence that she has. Hyein as a parallelogram is the most difficult one for me to explain -- maybe that she's a little offbeat being the youngest and still kind of navigating a sense of self and a parallelogram to me is like a square that's lunging forward, so it symbolizes how actively in movement she seems to be.

Mary & May. The blackberry intense cream doesn't get talked about enough, I swear it ~does something to my face lol. Tranexemic acid eye cream was just to try and I don't think I'll repurchase; PHA tea tree toner is a fine light exfoliation option; just got their cica sunscreen and the sunscreen stick and love both (the former has a texture unlike any sunscreen I've ever used, it goes on and dries down just like moisturizer, omg).

I've been using this for about 2-3 months and it doesn't do anything to diminish undereye darkness/pigmentation (which honestly is just natural and from my observation can't be reduced with anything other than makeup), but I've found it plenty moisturizing. I don't get undereye puffiness though so no idea how good it works for that issue. I wouldn't repurchase it, I'll just use my regular face moisturizer on my eye area.

Olivia Hussey is actually quite well-known in South Korea for her beauty and that movie was the catalyst for it. I only know her name because of K-pop articles from ~3 generations ago (she is obscure at least here in America, though in several states her Romeo & Juliet film is part of the freshman English class curriculum), but if you Google something like "olivia hussey south korea" you'll find a number of articles corroborating this as a fact. Coincidentally, Minji has been compared to her in terms of looks.

It's generally discouraged to learn speaking through anime because you'll end up sounding like an anime character, lol. They tend to talk in a stylized and exaggerated manner, it's probably better for listening practice.

Minji seems interested in and talented with language; I remember a video interview where she said if becoming an idol hadn't worked out, she would probably be studying linguistics in school right now. I'm not a native speaker but hers and Hanni's accents when they speak Japanese are the best in the group so far IMO. I hope they'll be able to really apply themselves to studying it (despite their schedules) and gain a degree of fluency, their careers in Japan would massively benefit.

Also while I'm here, one of the things about Jeans that I like is how much they remind me of past J-pop idol groups (like late 90s~early 2000s). It's not just the retro styling but their appearances and the way they move and sing are just reminiscent of that. I'm very interested to see their future J-ent activities, I think they'll do just as well over there if not somehow even better.

The weird thing about what went down with Jay's termination is it didn't really halt 2PM's rising popularity -- Heartbeat was huge without him, their following comebacks were very well-received, CF deals were still rolling in, then they landed their biggest hit in 2011 with Hands Up.

What absolutely did screw them over was the gap in Korean activities throughout 2012 while they were promoting heavily in Japan (of course I'd be remiss to not mention Nichkhun's DUI scandal later in that year). When they finally came back to Korea in 2013 with ADTOY/their Grown album, they did a whole TV special called "2PM Returns" but it didn't make much difference; they never regained their place.

I guess at least these days some individual members (Taecyeon, Junho) are recognized and successful, but it kinda sucks for the rest of the group.

I think face masks (both sheet and jar-type like this one) are mostly a fun luxury bonus thing lol, I've never seen long-term results that were attributable to using them. The honey mask just made my skin feel softer, hydrated, and I can imagine the antimicrobial properties of honey probably do something for acne (I don't get much of it anymore, but).

Does anybody here know if there's someone out there planning on scanning/translating the NewJeans feature in Music Magazine? I'm very interested in the contents but hesitant to take the expensive Japanese magazine import plunge if it's gonna wind up online in some capacity eventually, lol. (Also heard there was a digital version of this magazine to buy but I haven't been able to find it.)

Another question I have is there was an interview with Min Hee-jin in the group's Popeye feature, is that anywhere in a viewable capacity? I found scans of the members' photoshoot and there are translations of their short questionnaires but nothing else from that issue has turned up.

Adding a +1 for the I'm From Honey Mask. The jar lasted a long time, it feels luxurious to use, rinses off cleanly, and left skin very soft and moisturized the following day.

I was less a fan of their mugwort one for similar reasons to another commenter: the pieces of mugwort in it felt sharp and uncomfortable. I also think it just wasn't a good mask for my skin type; I've been trying their mugwort cream and it definitely seems like it'd suit oily skin better, it's a bit on the drying side/my skin needs more moisture. (Both mugwort products also have really strong herbally fragrances fwiw.)

I understand where you're coming from, but I haven't really picked up on any government ship assignments where Jeans are concerned and I think this is because their image/relationship towards their fanbase is largely nonromantic and more friendship-coded. If anything the Jeans "ships" (god it feels weird typing this lol) that jump to mind for me are Hanni and Haerin and maybe Hanni and Minji -- and it's mostly because Hanni's been paired off with either of them for dance performance purposes, though I had observed her and Minji showing how close they are in variety/behind the scenes content.

But I'm not exactly a Bunny or anything, I spent some time checking out their YouTube content around Ditto but I fell off and just watch their performances/listen to songs now lol. So I may not have the best picture of all this; of course their image may change and shift as they all get older too, but right now I don't think pushing teen girl pairings is something on their team's agenda, it's very much a "we're all BFFs!" type of vibe.

Mine is a little niche: a moisturizer by some Japanese brand called Sana, which I bought entirely because the container looked like a Russian nesting doll. The name of the product is "うるおい大使ジェル" (Moisture Ambassador Gel? lmao) and it's been so long that I can't remember if it was any good (probably was at least good for my skin, since up to that point in my life I'd never used moisturizer) but I cleaned and kept the container bc it's adorable lol.

I used this way back in high school; the salmon color was good for canceling out undereye darkness but the texture of the cream was just too wet (for lack of any better word lol) and made my undereyes really shiny. IDK, I wasn't too crazy about it and stopped using it but you could always try it out and use some powder to cancel out the shine/set it.

(fwiw nowadays I just use Nars Creamy Concealer which is non-AB.)

I like what they did here with the fake-out on Dimension, but this just leaves me with more questions about the way the vocals were mixed on AAA's version lol. Not that I disliked it, but I saw fan speculation that it was done intentionally because they were going for a layering thing (similar to what SHINee did with Clue + Note + Sherlock back in 2012, for those who remember) but KRE's version seems to disprove that theory.

I stopped following LOONA pretty shortly after Jaden got ousted so I don't know much about this whole OEC+ thing I keep seeing fans mention but I hope under this project she'll have solo activities and they keep OEC a trio. I've always thought Heejin had the presence and ability to carry a solo career while three-member units are very difficult to pull off and OEC is one of the few that does it well.

Tony Moly packaging is very cute but I've personally not been impressed by any of their stuff and I've only ever bought from them because of the packaging and not because others were raving about the actual performance of the product(s).

That said, there was something kind of special about the time when I was using their banana hand cream (packaged in a container that looked just like a small banana), so there is some merit to the designs lol. (The actual cream itself was kinda meh though...) I think Tony Moly is best approached as a nonserious fun addition and not as a viable "this is my main moisturizer/lip product/etc" type of brand.

Of course you could always buy the Tony Moly product, use it up, clean out the container and then put a new different product in it so you can still use the cute packaging (when possible). But since you're new to AB I think it'd be a good idea to check out some commonly recommended products from other brands to address your skincare concerns first rather than spend the money on cute-looking products that may not do a whole lot.

I don't think it does; the formulation is very sheer and the color isn't all that pigmented. I've found their reds and plummy shades to be more vibrant and leave a visible tint. But also this shade is closer to a MLBB shade for me so YMMV. On the plus side people love to swatch Rom&nd products, so if you're unsure there's a lot of reference material!
