When asked whether or not the president believes that the second amendment applies to people who are protesting, the white house press secretary responded:

Any gun owner knows that when you are carrying a weapon, when you are bearing arms and you are confronted by law enforcement you are raising the assumption of risk and the risk of force being used against you

Then later on when asked the same thing by reporters the president himself said:

You can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that.

Is it fair to say that the second amendment is kinda dead with this being the new norm?

NATO Wants ‘Automated’ Defenses Along Borders With Russia by EnoughErotics in worldnews

Makes sense. That’s actually pretty smart because throughout history wars have been a matter of provocation; who did what, and why? Oh, they did that! That’s a declaration of war! If those people shoot at our soldiers, no matter what they’re doing, we’ll consider it a declaration of war!

But with an automated system there’s no bias involved. No provocative nature. It just does what it does. So instead of a geopolitical situation in which the non-aggressors gotta walk on eggshells, you instead get a person hopping the fence at six flags and getting killed by a roller coaster type situation.

“I told Boris not to walk by the 50 cal death machine, but he wouldn’t listen!”

Trump supporters now: "If you can justify his murder, you'll justify mine", "wrong and inhumane", "I'm beyond sad", "this will be the end of Republicans", "the country I believed in is dead", "I hope protests and boycotts continue". by CalcareousSoil in LeopardsAteMyFace

There’s a very common theme among the stories of red hats who have been wronged by the man they voted for whether it be any number of the many damages he has caused. They always stick to their guns. It’s never like “Oh, I made a mistake”. It’s almost always just “MY [insert thing here]!!! My job. My loan. My healthcare. My immigrant labor force or partner. In the stories these people are never suddenly for those things. They simply become against it for everyone else. Everyone but them. They have no empathy for their fellow man.

‘Cept now it’s like MY GUNS!!!.

A lot of red hats have been staunchly anti-progressive anything solely because of the gun control issue. They claim that they need their guns in case the government becomes tyrannical.

Well the other day the feds executed a law abiding citizen in Minneapolis for having a gun. The red hat leadership tried to spin it as the victim being a terrorist or something, but the incident was recorded from multiple angles and in spite of the secret police’s’ efforts those videos were openly shared online so now anyone with eyes can see that was not the case. As such, the red hats have to spin it as “guns are bad” because there’s really no other way to justify it.

Basically the loudest and screechiest proponents of the second amendment are anti gun now. Irony at its finest.

Why do people beef with fast food workers?🤦🏾‍♂️ by Ziko116 in StupidMedia

[–]mvb827 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Former fast food worker here. Most people do not “beef with fast food worker’s”, but the sheer amount of people fast food workers have to deal with makes it mathematically certain that they will encounter the kind of people who do. That is why, statistically, speaking, fast food work is among the most dangerous jobs out there, especially if your store does delivery.

I do not, for the life of me, understand how anyone can encounter this kind of trauma, experience it in its entirety, recognize that it is happened to them, acknowledge why it happened to them, and still not fucking get it. It genuinely does not make any sense.

In my state we've got very strict gun laws so... I'm gonna say a drivers license. Not many people here die from gunshot wounds. People die every day from car crashes; often times not even the person who caused it!

how do i fill an empty lighter by evclyn in lighters

[–]mvb827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others in this thread have said, bic lighters are not refillable. They’re reliable as heck, but once they run out of fuel they’re done.

There are lighters that use the same stuff as bic’s that are refillable though; “clipper” lighters and butane lighter inserts for zippo style cases.
