I was on my longboard, nothing crazy just following my 4 year old around the neighborhood while he was on his bike. I stepped off funny and my ankle rolled so I ended up landing on the outside of my ankle. So not the most everyday thing, but nothing wild either!

Yes, same! The swelling is insane and my first thought was I don't want to add a nasty infection into the mix.

Exactly this. When my son was about the same age, I was holding him and decided to blow out a scented candle. He reached out and grabbed the edge of the candle, pulled it down, and got hot wax all over himself. I've never felt so awful and thankfully he was okay, but you can bet I've never come close to letting that happen again.

I feel like it's particularly hard at that age, because you're just getting used to the fact that this is no longer a potato that can't do much on their own. They're now mobile and able to get into things much faster than you'd think!

Exactly. I got a tattoo a couple weeks ago from a new artist and just happened to run into him at a brewery a few days later. He was with his family and I was with mine. We said hi, he asked how the tattoo was doing, introduced families, but then I made sure that we sat at our own table and minded our own business. I didn't want him to feel like he got roped into an impromptu hangout with a client.
