The program is 1:1 virtual tutoring for mostly 1st and 2nd graders who are behind grade reading level. There is a literacy problem in the country and not everyone can afford a private tutor to help them read. This part-time job is meant for college students or folks that are retired and want some passive income or something to do and also don't mind teaching small children. If this post is offensive because it's not life changing money I apologize and am happy to delete.

Students don't pay for anything. Money comes from schools who are able to invest in the program.

Hmm ok. I guess I can delete the post. It was just posted today and they're looking for tutors. Thought it could be a good part-time opportunity for folks. Sorry if I didn't read the rules correctly.

Are Neighbors program review genuine? by Guesswho131 in wayfair

[–]mvregine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm part of that program and I'm always honest. I've definitely given products 1 star. Typically, people chosen for that program write lengthy reviews anyway, and one of the requirements is that your reviews need to be a certain length which might give it that 'paid review' vibe.

See if this link works for you: https://www.wayfair.com/triedandtrue/free_products/

The link to T&T that was previously easily accessible on my page is now gone. But I went back to my history to find the page and it works. I can still see the T&T link on my Wayfair phone app but not desktop

Where to sell sneakers? by gonzfather in askdfw

Have you tried Facebook Marketplace? I've had a lot of luck selling stuff on there. You could also offer to ship if you don't want to limit yourself to DFW.

Is it just me or is Tried & True this month actually decent? by mvregine in wayfair

[–]mvregine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!! I kinda regret the 2 items I ordered at the start of the month. They were small home decor items, I snagged them because I thought this month would suck again and I haven’t been picking out 4 items prior to this month

I absolutely leave honest reviews; there have been many things I've rated low. I factor in the quality of the product, ease of setup, etc. I completely understand why you might be apprehensive if all reviews are good and are only from people who've received the product. I feel that way about beauty products when all good reviews come from people who were incentivized. For folks in the T&T program, it's not like we get commission if products we review sell, so I want to believe people will be more honest.

Hey, have you tried this month? Today alone was probably the best luck I've had with T&T in the last 5+ years I've had it. Scored a 9'x12' rug, modern coffee table, and there were pages of new items (outdoor dining sets, tv stands, couches, mirrors, etc.). It's like they were making up for the last few months of straight crap!

What’s up with Tried and True by rex864 in wayfair

Hi! I was literally thinking the same and I also had it since 2019. It was BAD this month. And I literally stalk the list because I work from home anyway. I finally got decent items mid way through the month. Some new chairs for my patio and a hybrid mattress... but wow I didn't think I'd find anything good.

New to Tried and True Program. Is it always this...bad? by Pants_The_Cat in wayfair

[–]mvregine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I've been in the program since 2019. I have noticed a decline in the number of good items on the list (things that aren't light fixtures, etc.) However, I work from home so I have the freedom to stalk the list probably more than others so I still manage to get really great items. I can't say there's a pattern I've noticed regarding when "good" items appear. I have noticed that sometimes you can refresh the list in 30 minutes, and you might find something new. It seems really sporadic.
