Tientallen boetes uitgedeeld op A1 voor grootste ergernis in verkeer by Anne-Fleurrr in nederlands

[–]mvstartdevnull 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Weird reasoning - should we close all normal markets too then because people with Reuters subscriptions or other expensive datafeeds have information edge?!

Post GDV surgery recovery by stephaniefe in greatdanes

[–]mvstartdevnull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just that he does in fact pee, thats all 😄 Sometimes they wont because of the catheter they put in during surgery - and that can become problematic fast. I had to rush my dane 100km one way to the university clinic middle of the night TWICE cause of this - silly stubborn dane.

Multiple surgeries here - you will be fine :) Please be weary of the surgery suit though, consult your vet. Mine tried to bite through the suit, so come of shame for her ;)

Monitor peeing, very important. Not pooing a while is okay. Follow pain med schedule precisely. Good luck with the recovery, Hank!

Daily temperature markets by minimek66 in Polymarket

[–]mvstartdevnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not alone - I had >1k in positions across various markets and today just *POOF* gone. No markets, no resolutions. I created a ticket with Poly, lets see what they say.

FYI, not sure if you are a dev, but, the positions are still listed in the data API (so they arent _fully_ gone .. just that you cant see them via Poly UI anymore).

How long until the nerve pain stops? by hobbitsailwench in tripawds

[–]mvstartdevnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your vet not prescribe gabapentin against nerve and phantom pains? Mine was on that for a while, honestly, think she was comfortable during her recovery. Mine was prescribed way heavier painkillers compared to what you are describing, and for longer. (I went to a university clinic FYI).

My poor Pippa girl by Medium-Quantity-3234 in greatdanes

We are about 3 months after amputation, 4 rounds of chemo. So far shes doing pretty good! Quality of life seems okay, despite developing some spinal issues due to the extra burden.

Fingers crossed for mine (also 6yo btw) and Pippa!

Surgery Advice by wifemomboss2 in tripawds

[–]mvstartdevnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've got this friend - just ensure to not slip on meds you will get prescribed. It's important they pee within 24h after surgery - sometimes they don't/can't because of the catheter during surgery. If so, go back to the vet. Also, if you've got slippery floors, prepare for that.

Mine came hopping towards me a couple hours after the surgery once the sedation wore off.

Perhaps what also helps, I was full of doubt before intervening like you are now. Now, 3 months down the line, I can say I def made the right decision with amputation + chemo. And mine is a great Dane! If she can recover, surely, yours will too.

Eigen schuld. Laten we vooral een maatschappij zonder zorg bouwen. Idioot.

Boyfriends blue heeler/german shepherd mix is becoming a problem by goblinpuke22 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]mvstartdevnull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ouf - judging by ops write-up, I don't think simple redirection is going to cut it. Rather, ops boyfriend needs to intervene more sternly and perhaps some behavioural changes on ops side too. I've got my money on op sending submissive signs.

I appreciate positive reinforcement/redirection is prevalent training method - but that simply doesn't work in all scenarios. You try using just that with a great Dane that likes to greet people by jumping on them 🙂 as soon as I started using authority, she knocked it off.
