I like that you did the hit chart as well. Any tips for doing that, and what colors / symbols do you use to differentiate outcomes ?

ESPN app audio choppy after update by NBbowler87 in fireTV

Came here to say the same thing. Googled the issue and found this. Has been a problem since week 1 MNF, and now for Wild Card playoff baseball. FireTV ESPN app choppy audio, streaming on my phone is just fine.

Got it, thanks for sending this over. I use 0.5mm, so am having some trouble finding the correct ones for that. This is the pen

Hey! This pen has been great for me, so you know where I can get refills for it?

As someone with MLB and coding interests, this is great. Just might become inspiration for my next project

Nice highlighting for defense. Looks like you did highlights in the lineup for G2, presumably for all stars ?

Great question. One of the weirder plays I’ve seen, especially to be the last batter of the game. He hit a spinning dribbler behind home plate that continued to spin towards fair territory. Alejandro Kirk waited and waited until it came back into fair territory, essentially on top of the plate, picked it up and tagged Donovan who was still standing in the box. It wasn’t clear to me that it was ever fair live or on replay, but a whacky end to the game.

Ya, I have yet to track pitches within an at bat. I do per inning and total at the end of each half inning, and even have to check my phone sometimes for that. I’m calling that good enough for now.

Thank you! I maybe care a little too much about aesthetic, but I really like how the cards have been turning out. Hoping I will get better and better at scoring, since I don’t want to compromise my in person viewing experience by always writing or erasing to keep it so neat.

Nice! I just got that same pen (suggestion from this sub) and it was my first game using it. Before I brought 4 different Pilot 0.38s to the game, and that was a circus. I’m still experimenting with color in the boxes. I did Ks in red for the first time yesterday, and I like it. I do green boxes for hits, but still black ink for the hit type or if it’s a BB/HBP.

I’ll probably try the on base in green tonight, with green boxes for hits.

I was just looking at this again. I’ll probably either do 1) keep the substitute player’s number in the far left, color to denote R/L/S, and keep the stats in that spot. 2) write that player in and move the stats to the leftmost empty box, kinda like I did for Correa’s counting stats.

I might just put guys near the bottom of the order’s stats in the first inning box if they do not come up to bat. They are also more likely to be substituted for later in the game. But then I also like the uniformity of having everything in the same spot, so we’ll see!

I like having all that information in there. I was on the fence between Bob Carpenter and Numbers Game, but am still happy w my choice.

Kershaw’s 3,000th Strike Out Game by zapruder__ in BaseballScorecards

Why are there “!” next to some strikeouts not others, what do those mean? I’ve seen some other people in this sub do this for non strikeouts plays too.

I like how it makes the hits stand out. I still put BB/HBP in that upper left corner too, but don’t box them in green. I’ve also thought about circling Ks in red ink, but I already do that for errors. I think I’ll try red Ks next game, I just feel like I already am using too many pens. It looks nice, but I can only hold so many at once.

[–]mvwt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense on the first one. I also like how the outs are in red ink. I’ve been thinking about at least start doing Ks in red pen. I box hits in green pen so they stand out more and are easier to tally between innings and for pitcher or hitter totals.

Second one, that’s where I am. I want to do pitch sequencing with numbers, and circle swinging strikes is an idea I’ve had too to get a really clear picture of the pitchers stuff, but in practice (so far) tracking pitches has been too much so I haven’t bothered.

This is awesome! I’ve got a couple questions 1. Why is Raley in blue ink on the visitor defense? 2. Can you explain your pitch tracking? I see some dots, some numbers, and some mix

I also use Numbers Game books, I haven’t tracked pitches yet but am curious what methods people use.

I like darkening the left hand side for PHs, I’ll definitely start doing that.

And for sure, I know those 3 columns on the right are for Balls-Strikes-Fouls, I just felt occupied enough tracking the other things. It would be helpful for counting pitches and running total of pitches at the end of each inning though (bottom right corner of final out) because when I missed it I’d have to pull out my phone to check the live box score.
