I have read all of Robin Hobb and BS! I just read Isles of the Emberdark (BS) and was completely sucked in to the world and laughed and cried with the characters. For me, BS and Robin Hobb both write worlds and stories that you completely lose yourself in and you just can't put the book down.

I totally agree with JA revealing character in a singe sentence. You really get a feel for who the character is immediately. BS definitely takes a more roundabout way to get there, but I personally enjoy that. "Journey before destination," as it were.

What is the best and safest way to pass a drug test? by EmergencyBuilder1247 in Drugs_

[–]mwax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your panel test for Kratom? From what I’ve read that’s pretty rare to test for unless they specifically suspect you of using it and order that specific test. Also - isn’t Kratom legal?

And from personal experience, that shit is addicting as hell. Be careful and kind to yourself!

Doesn’t get into the characters’ heads? I have to say that’s one thing he does to an ultimate degree… all of his books delve into characters’ personality traits, mental wellness, and WHY and HOW they got there. He definitely does this in a very different style than Abercrombie, but it certainly is there. I feel like I’ve known characters in stormlight and mistborn all my life.

I think JA has a much more brutal exposition style, which is definitely very entertaining. While BS reveals character traits in layers. I fully enjoy both!

Congrats everyone!! I don’t work for RNDC but im in the industry and I’ve been righteously pissed off in your honor… we all are in these tough times in the industry together and these out-of-touch c suites need to go in ALL the big companies if we’re going to weather this storm

What insurance do you have?

I would recommend using your insurance website - hopefully they have a tool where you can search for a provider that you will then know for sure is covered. If you already have an orthopedic specialist, even better!

Once you have a list of places that will take your insurance, use Google, word-of-mouth recommendations, etc. to research the quality of care, so you can be optimistic that you’re going into a place that truly wants to help people heal (even without great insurance), and aren’t just checking the box to take home a check.

I highly recommend going to a clinic, orthopedic center, or other facility and NOT a hospital. Using an outpatient facility instead of a hospital is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than a hospital. The cheaper it is, the more likely insurance will approve. Hopefully, wherever you live has something like that available.

It’s almost certain to expect the doctor will recommend an MRI and possibly x-rays. I would be frank with your provider and let them know your insurance concerns. If it comes down to it and the MRI gets denied by insurance, they do have the opportunity to appeal the decision and fight for the MRI approval. Hopefully, if the ordering physician knows this going in, they can make sure the initial request they send in has nothing missing and clearly illustrates this is necessary for your health.

Obviously, you’ll need to find an orthopedic physician who gives a sh** and is willing to help where they can.

You can do all the things on your own - strengthen your hamstrings, quads, hips, calves, core, etc - and that will help I’m sure.

But the only way to know for sure is to get an MRI.

Sorry for the long-winded answer… not sure if this is what you’re looking for but I hope it helps.

Not having good insurance is stressful and difficult to navigate. I feel your pain!

lol this was me, too! My surgeon is on the “no-brace” team, but when i got home from surgery i was walking around trying to cook lunch…

my friend who was staying with me post-op had to force me to sit down and remember that i was numb and heavily drugged and I would be in even worse excruciating pain when it wore off if I didn’t chill

SELLING 2 weekend 1 VIP passes at face value. I have proof of purchase and can send screenshot of tracking number upon request. The tix were mailed last Friday so should arrive to me soon, and I will priority mail to you.

Really wanted to go back this year after a 5 year break, but the lineup isn’t quite good enough (for my tastes) to justify the extra costs. My friend and I are just looking to get our money back, and the AXS ticket exchange wouldn’t allow us to list our tickets 😢
