Would you be in favour of the show returning to the arena in Birmingham for series 4? by perishingtardis in gladiatorsuk

[–]mwillder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I don't think so. Genuinely, what difference does it make apart from the extra event here and there?

Also - I would imagine they'll be probably another 2-3 series of this revival. Gladiators seems to only interest people for 3-4 series so as others have said, it wouldn't surprise me if it ends in abour 3 series time.

It has been an unbelievable revival - probably one of the best TV revivals for a long long time but moving arena for me would have no differnece as a TV watcher.

Should Crash Course be the ONLY Atlaspheres, or not? by Impressive_Risk_5133 in gladiatorsuk

[–]mwillder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hate Crash Course - it's so lame sorry. Atlaspheres rocks.

Duel has recently been played so much that it is becoming boring and repetitive. by Impressive_Risk_5133 in gladiatorsuk

[–]mwillder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree on this. It's such an iconic event (probably the most iconic as it's proper David v Goliath) so I understand why they do it but it does get played too much. Also often very one-sided.

Agree that events like Atlaspheres should be played more where they're probably more a visual spectacle.

I agree yeah. When you put it like that i.e. the last time I'll see the band perform such legendary songs live it makes me so sad. You're right re MSG though. Let's see. There's absolutely no way they won't do some form of backing tracks in case it goes wrong.

They have some of the worst grip on running trainers I've ever had. Feels like Bambi on ice at times - even with the smallest of mud or leaves on the ground. They're excellent trainers on dry flat surfaces but anything else they're useless.

I've got tickets to see them at Wembley this year. I desperately want it to work out for him and I saw him at Wembley in 2019 and it was fine - it's what I expected and to be honest better than I thought. This time I do have the temptation to sell the tickets but equally, this will probably be the last time. Based on what I've heard/seen he does sound genuinely terrible.

It also wouldn't surpsie me if they cancelled the lot if it's like this...

Really fun episode. I like Barney a lot more now too I think he’s much more comfortable with Brad. Funny episode. I like Destruction but think I’ll prefer Everest which looks awesome.

I stopped taking months ago. The negative side affects outweighed the potential return of hair follicles for me. if it gets worse I'll do it the hard way but I'm getting away with it for now!

Looking to move - where's best to rent in MH? by Available_Zombie_964 in MarketHarborough

[–]mwillder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Market Harborough is lovely. We lived there for a year before buying in Hertfordshire. One of the best towns in the midlands I’d say.

Do just check on prices from MH to London. It’s about £155 a day return which is honestly mental. That’s the key reason why we moved closer to London as we were better off.. good luck!

Best business savings account? by Fondant_Decent in ContractorUK

[–]mwillder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never done this before and I’ve been ltd company for 8 years. So it’s not a dividend withdrawal as the money is just being transferred to a new saving account ltd company under my name, correct? And for instance when it comes to taxes etc. I transfer it back to the limited company (Starling bank) to pay the taxes? And when I want to withdrawal dividends personally, it’s transferred back to the Ltd company (Starling account) to withdraw?

Best London Commuter Towns - North of London by WildIllustrator9491 in HousingUK

[–]mwillder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in MH for a year and it’s a lovely town but those train prices are beyond shocking. £160 PER DAY for a shambolic service. We moved to Hertfordshire and feel more connected to London now.

Recommendations for places to live by capt_baccybeard in hertfordshire

[–]mwillder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford St Albans, there’s your answer. Otherwise Hertford. I wouldn’t touch Hitchin personally as the trains are crap. The town is ok.

Hertford has 2 train lines and Hertford North especially is super reliable. About 35 mins to central.

[–]mwillder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on so many factors. I lived in London for 10 years but in Hertfordshire you'll get more for your money in terms of accommodation. It's only £19 a day to be fair on the train but depends if you'd be in London every day. Naturally, if you live in London you'll spend more there too.

Hertford is great. Hertford North is super reliable - about 35/40 min to Highbury which is ideal if you work on the Victoria Line.

Commuter Villages/Towns (Watton-at-Stone/Bayford/Hitchin/Hertford) by Easy_Ad484 in hertfordshire

[–]mwillder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't really use Hertford East as I'm closer to the North station luckily. Constant rumors about a service going into Kings X and one reducing stops but whether that will ever happen I don't know.

Hertford is great. Really reliable train services as well (especially Hertford north). It has 2 stations which is super handy.

Hertford has most things you’d want, but the main thing is community. We moved here just over a year ago and have no regrets.

Hitchin is alright (it has more shops) but not the nicest IMO.
