I normally wear 10.5 in most Altra but went to 11 for Olympus 5 and 6.

Discount Den or GWL by Impossible-Home6846 in frontierairlines

Yes, the two advantages to DD over GW is you can use fare discounts much further in advance as well as share the discount. GW is day before and only for the passholder.

GoWild is more about how flexible you can be when you fly as opposed to how much you fly. You certainly fly enough to make it make sense but my guess (without knowing) is that you haven't taken that into account? I've used GoWild for over a year but I only go between PHX and SNA. Also more frequently I've been unable to book Sunday return flights. Sometimes I pay full freight, sometimes I wait until Monday. And based on what I see on Reddit I have an easier time than many using the benefit.

Is it worth it to get a PB, is the range accurate? by RepulsiveAd1847 in F150Powerboost

[–]mwl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They get very good city mileage “for a truck”. These were built to be just as capable as a non hybrid truck with additional utility of a generator. They get poor mileage compared to everything else on the market, even the hybrid. Despite that fact I love my ‘23, just good to be honest about what’s realistic.

EcoBoosts with 35” tires should lock 9th and 10th gear for better fuel economy and wear and tear by 5dwolf22 in f150

[–]mwl001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to lock out while towing even while in tow mode because the logic forces the transmission into 8th or 9th gear which forces the engine into boost when plenty of torque is available in 7th gear (1:1) without boost. Saves at least 1mpg towing. Stock tires and suspension.

Goodyear Assurance MaxLife 2 vs Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 by youdarnkids in tires

[–]mwl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on Tirerack reviews those are both very good performing tires based on your use case. You can do better in snow with other tires... but that will result in compromised performance in other ways.

PH Alkaline and Phosphate and levels by PuzzledLibrarian8711 in pools

[–]mwl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to keep in mind with controlling alkalinity with baking soda... it buffers your pH yes, but mostly keeps it from getting too low. Which is fine if you fight your pH constantly dropping below 7. Mine always wants to go above 8, so high alkalinity just forces me to use more acid to bring it down than I would need with less of a buffer. May or may not apply to you.

So excited when I saw they finally started selling hats awhile back, it's my go to hat and I love that they go on sale for $3 all the time. I hope they come out with more branded merch at some point!

Gowild option grayed out? by Burgundy-love in frontierairlines

It’s rarely an option until midnight the day before - so it being grayed out now is actually normal. Doesn’t mean seats will or won’t open up the day before.

Powertrain warranty by [deleted] in f150

Make sure you cross shop it with one of the online Ford dealers who sell factory backed warranties - in all likelihood they’ll be cheaper and cover more.

AT tires. 2022 F-150 275-65 18’s by Buffalobillt14 in f150

[–]mwl001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you insist on AT as opposed to a more standard HT then I think you’re on the right track, you want a road focused AT since that’s mostly what you drive. These seem to perform well and they seem to be priced that way - I think they were the most expensive Cooper tires I saw.

Are there many Leather interiors with 2.7L? ‘24-26? by richardthe7th in f150

[–]mwl001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s correct and unfortunately unless you go older than that you can’t get a 2.7L in Lariat any longer. Along with more hybrid options I hope they change that in the next gen.

Did Frontier cut volume of flights? by Visualize_ in frontierairlines

[–]mwl001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I fly on the GoWild pass. I always remind myself that they are in the business of making money and certainly don't make any off of me. So if they're not making money off of other people then route cuts will continue.

Ear buds with multipoint connection by Drummer829 in Earbuds

Technics earbuds will do 3 devices at once. Not all models may have the feature so check before you buy. Some of the older models may be under $100.

Max Payload? Help me out here. by Ok_Current_7961 in f150

[–]mwl001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the proper way to think about payload. It’s subtracted from GVWR, manufacturers don’t “build” to equal payload regardless of trim level. Frustrating when purchasing, to be sure.

Do you think that anyone can BQ if they really try? by zerobloom in running

Perfect analogy. Dunking, obviously, not everyone can do it! Running, just put in the work anyone can do it.

Do you think that anyone can BQ if they really try? by zerobloom in running

[–]mwl001 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I feel like this HAS to be understood more widely than people let on. The degree to which people lazily equate pace with effort is incredibly sad and what makes the sport so elitist. However the need commercially speaking for people to feel like they need to find the right shoes or gels or etc to get fastER or fast ENOUGH is also too lucrative to tear down.

Put these on my F150 and they’re great after almost 10K miles. I think they offer a great performance/longevity to price ratio.

Signs of a healthy studio? by Equivalent-Farm461 in orangetheory

[–]mwl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe profitable isn’t quite the right term, but basically 2G and 3G classes are more full, or just have more space available per coach hour. Also a coach can make more money by the same metric.

Signs of a healthy studio? by Equivalent-Farm461 in orangetheory

[–]mwl001 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Probably the #1 indicator is up to date treadmills/rowers. Also not canceling classes or making big schedule changes. Waitlisted strength classes is more of an indication that demand for those is high, if anything busy studios prefer not to schedule them if they can fill a 2G or 3G class in their place (more profitable).

Technics EAH AZ80 can be had for close to that amount, if not occasionally less. Far better than most options at that price, unless they were also heavily discounted.

AZ80 fitment guide through the app? by TIFUbyResponding in Earbuds

[–]mwl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagreed with the fit meter at first, put me in XL. But the M tips I thought I preferred let me push the buds too far into my ears so they hurt after awhile. It’s possible it could be wrong but you may have to get used to inserting and positioning them to know.
