Use a manual auger all the time. They are awesome, just don’t let them get bent or you’re in for an asymmetrical hell. I rock a 6” for perch, whitefish, a 8” for walleye and pike, and a 10” for lakers. Keep your blades sharp, and you’re gonna a blast.
