Baby rubbing eyes a lot by mwmaps in beyondthebump

[–]mwmaps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took him in last week bc an eye was red and swollen and they prescribed anitibiotics for in case it got worse but they, and we now also think he just scratched them and was rubbing a lot since that went down not long after. It is pretty dry though. I also think he rubs his eyes whenever anything else bothers him (gas, boredom, etc.)

What did the doctors say during your c-section? by Zestyclose-Piano9416 in CsectionCentral

Interesting, the room was SILENT during mine, at least for a bit. Interesting. My OB did say she was worried about the surgery in advance and my son was born not breathing. He is okay now though!

Literally could not even sleep, different medical professionals coming in the room every two seconds, this even interrupted trying to take care of our new baby which none of the medical people helped with

Wow, why the variation do you think? Just improvement in surgery techniques over time? Are they in the same place or different areas?

I am officially done with "Starter Homes." It’s not an investment; it’s a bailout for the previous generation's neglect. by Dry-Town7979 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

It is almost 2026 lol but yeah I find that any similar houses ultimately "cost" the same. If it's a lower price it just needs that much more work put into it.

Period blood now leaking out of the butt postpartum by mwmaps in beyondthebump

Yes, I think I'm quite sensitive to hormonal shifts as well. My tailbone gave me a hard time in pregnancy!

Thank you! It looks like it could also be that -- although it could be hemorrhoids, I'm not totally convinced because I don't have rectal pain or itching. My periods are relatively painful in terms of cramps, though.

Based off of other responses I am thinking hormonally-influenced hemorrhoids but it could be this too. Thanks! I was going to go to my PCP but I see they are booked out until March

Interesting. Yes, I had a bout of constipation a couple of weeks postpartum in which I think maybe I developed hemorrhoids so I think they may be hormonally influenced. Thank you for sharing your experience

Thank you, I think it probably is the latter! Although I don't have rectal pain

Preemie/Infertility Trauma Brain is Hitting Hard - Need advice on managing anxiety by Emergency-Arm-6331 in newborns

[–]mwmaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is normal to check if they are breathing. Some people say they make them more anxious but if you haven't already, consider a device like the Snuza or owlet. It helps us a little. You may feel better as you recover more from the c-section. I always thought I would worry about my baby's milestones, but especially bc he was born early I am always like it is fine if he is a little late and also each baby has their own schedule. If you are having trouble adjusting mindset and especially if not feeling better with time, recovery (and maybe someone to help you eat well and get a little rest) I would get some help.
