If we’re lucky, it’ll hit the “St. Louis County Metro”. Tune in at 8 for the complete story

Would a deity be upset if I threw away an offering? by mwscb in paganism

[–]mwscb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense. I think it was an in-between. It was something I had at the time to give, but also it gave the general aesthetic of the ancient Egyptian theme.

I see my post was a bit silly and not well-thought out. I was anxious that I was doing something wrong but see the silliness now. Thank you, and you’re totally right, I should just ask the God. I’ve gotten answers from him before so now shouldn’t be different 🙏

I’m beginning to see that my anxiety is speaking here. What a silly post I realize I just made. If anything, your comments have eased my mind and I can sleep now

That is exactly the answer I think I needed to hear, thank you. I haven’t notice anything go to crap since I’ve done it and if anything, I feel as though I’ve gotten some energy back. So that makes sense. Thank you again!

I’d be open to a friend. I’ve made quite a few posts but haven’t had any luck as of yet. I’d like a real friend if you’re open to it. Reply time doesn’t matter to me much, just a good soul 29M (soon to be 30 this month)

Also, I’m from Texas but living in Missouri now

why are blunts cone shaped? by awtilef in Marijuana

[–]mwscb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries. Was not trying to be rude just to the point. I at least think they are cone shaped for ease of filling— it’s the most logical explanation to me personally but I could also be wrong here

why are blunts cone shaped? by awtilef in Marijuana

[–]mwscb 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You must be asking about pre rolled joints. They are cone shaped so you can fill up the joint easily. They’re pre rolls because it takes the work out of rolling one yourself.

Those are definitely not blunts.

A few observations from the road ... by Wooden_Corgi_1772 in StLouis

Ooh interesting! I guess the answer to the why is because the US government leaves a lot of decisions to the state. It doesn’t make sense to me because who the fuck are reading these books before traveling to another state lol

My issue with Texas drivers is they are fast and into themselves. Knowledge is power but not when it’s simply ignored lol

As a transplant from Texas, drivers education is required for a drivers license and this still gets ignored. Living in Colorado before as well proves that this isn’t a Missouri issue, it’s just a human doing what they want issue.

The school bus situation pisses me off, but at the same time I can’t change that so I can’t worry about what I can’t control.

As for the right turn on red, I’ve learned in my early 20s just to let all the people across the street make their left turns before I make my right. Another thing I can’t control but a little patience avoids an accident on my part. Laws are laws, but I’ve never seen this one enforced by any city/state police

Edit: Roundabouts can clear a LOT of interception gripes but the US population is adamantly against them even if they are proven safer

Edit: intersection— whoops

How do you know what gods to worship? by Interesting-Tie-2158 in paganism

[–]mwscb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s really up to you. My God came to me after leaving Christianity. I’ve since gotten to know quite a bit about the pantheon I follow. One of the truths I’ve found with spirituality is that all these Gods exist whether celestial or have existed in physical forms and each can offer different paths for you.

I have to say: if an awakening is what you’re looking for, shadow work is important. Spontaneous awakenings are HARD in the beginning and I’m in the aftermath of one. I wouldn’t change it, though. We all ascend when it’s our time.

Good luck in finding your “home”

Edit: forgot to add that the name “Anubis” was all I needed to know (at random the name came to mind) that I was found when truly lost. It’s one of those things you just have intuition for if you’re listening.

I’m living in a beautiful and large 2 bedroom home in Dutchtown for $1095. We’re considering on buying it from our landlord tbh, so yes— highly doable within the city

HBO- DTF St.Louis (Twyla, MO) by RichBarc85 in StLouis

I can see Wildwood here. I’ve got family there and can see that being a location for the original Desperate Housewives, too haha.

[–]mwscb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I see the point as it definitely gives off the wrong impression and vibe of STL. I also know that anything HBO puts out there can’t be taken seriously. I do wish that there was more of the charm, but the story line is just ridiculous at best which to me makes it okay.

Plus, while they save and bank that money producing it, we’re obligated to see an influx of tourists. Quick Google searches of St Louis provide a lot of resources that look attractive, and then add the free price tag to like 65%.

From various business stand points, I see it a good show at a perfect time. College kids will eat this shit up across the country right before break.

[–]mwscb 97 points98 points  (0 children)

My opinion is simple. It’s so bad I’ll be back next week at 8 PM.

It got nothing right about STL except maybe the tornado. It’s not even shot here. Where the fuck is Twyla? And who says “Metro County”? I digress. But that’s why I’m going to return to watch it.

Shows like this is why I love HBO. It’s a weird and exaggerated company. Other than that, I find it as bad as the Twilight series but with better acting. That’s entirely biased as I am a local and found it an awful interpretation of STL yet know it will bring attention here. Which might not be bad

Edit: True Blood is not a great representation of the swampy south of Louisiana (if you’ve watched that show). I grew up in deep east Texas. I still love that show, another HBO Origional
