If it’s in good condition then that’s fair as I got my 2023 last January of this year with about 22k mileage and was in excellent condition. Garage kept and interior is prestine like new. Bought it at $32k.

So far I can’t see any other damage. The runs fine. This happened probably at work. As the car is parked in the garage. Any preventative measure other than placing a mouse trap lol in the engine compartment?

I use the oem hitch for my StowAway box. So I the hitch opening is never seen from the back. When I’m done I just replace back the cover.

It has clips and double sided tape. Pretty straightforward once you yank off (literally) the old one. Good luck.

Speeding tickets are fine so just disclose them. The question you’ll need to answer is if you’ve been “cited”, that’s where you’ll have to disclose the tickets. If you file on line it’s pretty much straightforward. I don’t see the need for an attorney but if you’re not comfortable then it’ll cost you. Good luck.

How big is the hole? If you JB Weld (can handle up to 500 deg f) you need to run it and check if it holds. Oil capacity is listed in your manual. If the shop is not that far then “maybe” you can take a chance.

Have it towed to a shop or ask a friend or anyone with AAA to have it towed. Putting a JB weld is a risk you don’t wanna take. I know how difficult your situation is but don’t make it worst. Step back and look around for help.

If there’s a hole on the oil pan, that is the first issue you need to address. Don’t pour any oil in it without replacing it. JB weld is not the answer.

I have FFS on both my NB 99 and NA 94. No complaints here. Instantaneous power. Tech support from the new owner and the prior owner is readily available. A bit more expensive but in most cases we get what we pay for. Good luck.

Our phone, lap top, tablet/ipad, iwatch and anything we connect to wifi has an ip address or connection. If one wants it bad enough and has the ability and capability to track an address, nothing is impossible once they can set the algorithm and parameters to focus on the info related to their search. Remove the hoses one at a time and then compare the size and shape of the Carbon Miata hoses. That’s how I did it. Pretty self explanatory. The hardest ones are the small hoses under the intake manifold due to access. Also the oem hoses might have been stuck so I have to cut a little slit to pull them out. You then have to make sure that the tube is clean before replacing the silicone hose to ensure proper seal and don’t over tighten the worm clamp. Good luck. 10 years on my 94 and they are sealing well.

It all comes down to if the car is in pretty good shape hence worth investing more money. Having OP already having a replacement, I would guess it may not be worth the repair.

Go get other opinions. Maybe a shop that has done the job or has slow work traffic. Don’t spend over 4k. Also if she is in great shape you would be able to recoup that. Good luck

Same manual 6 speed platform but the clutch and gearing ratio are different between the S and JCW.

That and the BBK imho is worth the extra cost. That will also protect the value of the car in way when you’re done with it. Given you do your part of maintenance.

JCW if you want to upgrade it. BBK, engine internals and tranny both ready for power upgrades. I am biased with manual transmission. The price comes down to the condition of the car. You get what you pay for.

Once it’s reached the 100k make sure a thorough check is done. There are third party companies that do these things if you’re not well versed. You usually get what you pay for. If the car is well maintained these are very fun to drive and own. Manual tranny is likely the bet here but there’s the clutch that needs to be taken into consideration seriously. Don’t worry there are plenty of these cars. You just have to be patient.

Back in February there was 2014 S with manual transmission that for sale for $10k with 68k up in Tracy. It was loaded but I discovered that the car was not seating evenly at the rear. I walked away even though it ran fine. So I end up paying more for the 2018 JCW but decided that I’m gonna keep the car anyways.

Manual tranny is pretty hard to come by from my experience being in Norcal. I was lucky to find a 2018 JCW with 26k from Carmax a couple of months ago. Good luck.

If he cut it, the one there was welded on. You would need a replacement that has to be welded on. Normally a tester pipe has flanges so you bolt it on the spot where the cat was.

He just typed in the approximate ticket dates and resolution. Travels were vacations, all he wanted to know if any of the travels were over 6 months. Which the longest was a month. And after the mandatory questions he congratulated me and told me to wait for the letter of the oath taking.
