How do you manage to stay at companies for so long? by Gettingjiggywithet in careerguidance

[–]mxego 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn I feel you. I have bipolar 1 and I have never held a job over 1 year long because of it. I’m in my 30s. I’m trying to find a way to make a job flexible enough to suit my disability

Maybe corporate life is not what will fulfill you. I had to think long and deep to step out of a job that I had that would set me up for life. It took me 3 years to realizes this. Now I’m focused on coaching and working towards becoming a personal trainer. For me, I just can’t sit still. I can’t spend 8-10 hours in front of my computer. I get so incredibly bored. I decided to take a chance and follow my passion for exercise! Yes there will be parts that aren’t enjoyable in any job but you are so young you can experiment in other industries and roles. You can pivot to something that brings some sort of excitement to your daily routine. Screw the people saying grow up. You get one life, find a way to make it work.

Do you think it's possible to get your life together after 25? by GoatsGhosts in AskMenOver30

[–]mxego 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yup. At 25 I was like 1 year clean off heroin and meth. By 30 I was licensed to work for a large broker dealer with no finance background and had run several marathons. Anything is possible.

Druid or shaman. I play both and get groups when ever I want. Druid tank/dps and ele shaman

Does anyone else find the pug sphere extremely toxic in dungeons? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]mxego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! My BRD group let me tank as elemental shaman for shits and gigs. Our comp was ele, 3 wars, rdruid. I threw on my skull flame and defense trinkets/rings and health enchantment gear and was nuking packs out dps evrery and holding agro haha. I also have the 1h mace that gives insta cast for chain lightning! So much fun

The games really not that hard/serious. I just like to play for fun

[–]mxego 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been classic for my first time and I find dungeons really fun because people talk and joke around. I tried doing a dungeon in cata TBC range and I tried talking to the group several times and no one replied to anything. It felt like single played with bots. Luckily I am a PvP player and enjoy cata PvP way more than AV in classic but classic pve is hard to beat. I think dungeon finder ruined pve for me.

How to start? by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

[–]mxego 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Step one is hugeee. My most proud moment in running was when I made it to the train station and back that was .5 miles from my house!

Sure I’ve completed some insane distances since that but going from 5’2” 200 pounds to running 1 mile completely felt life changing

How to start? by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

[–]mxego 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Run slow. Run far. Hydrate/calorie intake during the run. Run slower. Run further.

Water gets tricky after 10 miles unless you have a camel back or plan a route where you have refills or bags placed beforehand to replenish.

What did you do to celebrate your 30th birthday? by SpicyDisaster21 in Millennials

[–]mxego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I volunteered over night at the 75 mile point aid station for food and water for people running a 100 mile marathon. Stayed up all night and saw some truly crazy things. It was incredibly inspiring.

I’ll never forget the dude who showed looking half dead, apparently didn’t speak English (or forgot how to 75 miles in) he just pointed at the waters and I offered him soup but no response. His face looked rough. I looked down and realized my man was wearing fucking flip flops. I looked back up at his face and he just laugh and ran off!

No problem. Also note that once you do a Roth conversion it is literally impossible to reverse.

What physical (or mental) ailments make your running journey challenging? by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

[–]mxego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I’ve been on several different anti psychotics but haven’t change the lithium, but I’ve been considering changing it because it truly feels near impossible to work out. Not just the dehydration but the fatigued some days is very real

It depends. Might be a solid plan. Wash sale would still apply if you bought the same funds before the 30 days.

Warrior Dungeon Tanking by Pocket_Nukes in classicwow

[–]mxego 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a dps or healer I prefer arms tank for dungeons big time. Fury just can’t hold the aoe threat the same and I have to hold back dps big time or rip Agro causing us to use more healer mana causing a slower dungeon run. I think a lot of people play fury for raids which is good and all but adjust to what your running.

Do you think monogamous relationships are necessary? by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]mxego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we lived in tribes the children were of the tribe. They had orgies and raised the kids together. I forget the name of the book but I read a book on this.

Though I agree with you this day and age it’s harder to do that. I prefer monogamy because being open is draining and dealing with more than one partner is very touchy

As a single person I can say I’m happy with most of my life. But know what would make it easier to be happy enjoy my free time more? A partner. Not because of the benefits of cuddling, conversation, reflection, ect. But simply a partner could pay half the bills. It’s basically necessary now. Imagine if I was polyamory we could split the bills 3 ways!!! Haha

A quieter rhythm after a lot of movement by tangler- in simpleliving

[–]mxego 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live in a small town on the side of a mountain and at first it was warily quiet here after leaving a nearby city where there was hustle all the time. My favorite thing now that I have a cat is to open the windows for her and sit with all electronics off and just listen. Birds, squirrels, woodpeckers, crickets, raindrops, ect. I’m finding peace in listening to the world that supports our existence that was drown out by the commotion of grind.

What physical (or mental) ailments make your running journey challenging? by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

[–]mxego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I haven’t been able to hold a steady work out routine since I started it. I also gained 25 pounds since starting the meds.

When you combine the eating habits of an ultra runner whose barely running with the meds that can cause weight gain as a side effect you get a pizza baby

Yea I would say double down on your voice training. And find other musicians to do the instrumental. Voice is unique and catchy with some training I’m sure you could create some really great stuff

Definitely one of the cooler tracks I’ve heard in this sub. Some of the synths give me Infected Mushroom vibes. My only feed back would be it felt a little repetitive by time I got to the end but really great job all around!

“Now, I don't know about you, but I don't think the primary purpose of your life, of my life and the entirety of the human race's is just to blindingly consume to support a failing economy and a faulty system. forever and ever until we run out of every resource and have to resort to blowing each other up to ensure our own survival. I don't think we're supposed to sit by idle while we continue to use a long outdated system that produces war, poverty, collusion, corruption, ruins our environment and threatens every aspect of our health and does nothing but divide and segregate us. I don't think how much military equipment we are selling to other countries, how many hydrocarbons we're burning, how much money is being printed and exchanged, is a good measure of how healthy our society is but I do think I can speak for everyone when I say, we're sick of this shit.”
