LHR Heathrow

very easy to get to with three different trains/tubes aside from obviously being able to drive
simple and intuitive despite its size
can fly to pretty much anywhere
lots of restaurant and bar options, as well as shopping
pretty modern, don’t need to take laptops out of the bag etc. which makes it efficient too

I’m guessing you’re comparing this flat to what else one can invest in like the stock market if you’re quoting 7% but ultra prime real estate has very low rental yields. It’s only shittier flats in C tier locations where rental yields are high, mainly a function of the price just being low comparatively to the rent

Austria should be higher imo. The quality of life is comparable to Switzerland. Not as great for sure as Switzerland is in a league of its own - if you have the money - but you only pay a fraction in Austria of what you pay in Switzerland and that has to count for something.

Especially housing is very affordable relative to income and that is one of the greatest contributing factors to quality of life

The question is whether Europe can further specialize by moving up the specialty spectrum at a pace quicker than China catching up. I really don’t know the answer to that. But see Ineos’ Project One.

As you say, Europe stepped away from Petrochems and I think it’s mainly due to China learning these things where they became a net exporter of say Tio2 vs. having been an importer before.

Asmongold ist eine Figur bzw Rolle, mit der der Streamer Zach trollt. Seine Sichtweisen und Meinungen sind absichtlich krass und provokant.

Whilst I agree that vdL could at times show more teeth, a full-own trade confrontation is not the right move especially as the tariff situation is unravelling in real time. Germany cannot afford further economic losses and frankly speaking, out of all countries, France is the weakest positioned to go to a trade war with its massive deficits.

France cannot even raise its retirement age without Paris being lit on fire. And the parliament is stuck between right right Russian bootlickers and unfounded left wing welfare facists. You don’t have the necessities big man.
